smartmove,
This combo is perfect for a first step into turbine.
I never had a turbine before either. I had to learn alone, and through RCU.
If turbine operated, flaps are mandatory, otherwhise,
she comes in too fast, and doesn't land like a trainer anymore.
Like you, no one would fly turbines at my club.
I had to travel around to see a jet flying and get advises.
You need just a CO2 fire extinguisher to operate safely your turbine.

Guys,
Here it is.
The L39 out of the box was:
fuselage 800g
wings 650g
Stab: 110g
total 1560g
And now all geared up:
fuselage 2700g
wings 965g
Stab: 125g
total 3780g
I end up with 3780 grams, without nose weight...

Gents,
Any particular tricks you know to achieve such perfect alignment of the exhaust pipe and MW44 center lines? MW44 going into a JHH sabre.

Does anyone know of an Oleo leg that will fit the main undercarriage wheels. I have one for the nose from Motors & Rotors. Would like a couple for the main legs to try and take some of the knocks at our strip at the moment
Cheers

Guys
Nose leg part No E81/000 £13.00
I'm going to see Eurokit next week in Germany and have a drawing to see if they will make me main legs specifically for the Savex L-39/Springair set up.

Hi guy's, does anyone have the website URL for Motors and Rotors Please? I have an electric El Bandito 90mm EDF and I would love to install working struts on it and maybe they might have something to fit? Do they make custom struts by chance does anyone know?
As for the L39 I have decided to go ahead and order one for the MW44 because I can use the same turbine in my JHH Fury so its worth it to me to get one. I can always buy a larger turbine later. I reread the article in the latest issue of RCJI about the plane and engine and they really seemed to like it so what the heck.
And thanks for the URL.

Dear Laura.
The event you are referring to on the May day bank holiday weekend.
Is it the one at RAF Coltishall in Norfolk by any chance. If so it is being organised
by the Royal Air Force Modellers Association and the Norwich Model Aero Club.
Unfortunately Mark does not organise this event. Mark and his wife were given one years honourary membership of the Norwich Model Aero Club. This was given for their attendance
of our Battle of Britain Commemorative event last. He has spoken to me and said that you and your Dad might be interested in attending.
You and your Dad are cordially invited. We are hoping that the RAF will allow passes, for
SAt 30th of April, Sunday 1st of May (main day) and Monday the 2nd of May.
We hoping to be allowed to have twenty guests, that is a nice amount and it allows guests to
have plenty of flights. I am trying to bring in a mixture of jets, warbirds and scale models. Unfortunately camping is not allowed on the station, but there are camp sites near by.
There is no charge for attending this event and refreshments will be provided on the Sunday.
Toilet facilities are also available
What I will need from you and your Dad if you decide to attend (which I hope the two of you will) is Names Address Tel Number Vehicle Type and Registration. You will also need some
kind of formal Identification, ie Driving License passport etc.
Sorry to have butted in on your post, but this is a military base.
If people just turn up and they are not on the list they will not get in.
I would hate for that to happen.
Sorry also for hijacking this L39 thread.
I can say though that the L39 flies beautifully.
Joe who is Paul Gray's (Grayuk) mate allowed me to fly his L39
at our 2003 Battle of Britain event. Fantastic flying model.
If you read this Paul, you and Joe are also cordially invited.
Regards Phil Goff Vice Chairman of the Norwich Model Aero Club
I can be contacted here .

FlyRCU
Yes definitely
Read the thread for a few pages, it says it all............
Most people fit the MW44, about 8Ib thrust, Simjet 1200 has about 12-13 Ibs, it will be over powered for the L39

Kaptan Kaos was told his would be delivered before christmas & he still does not have it, so I would not rely on the delivery dates given.
Going by the delays, I was quoted 3 to 3.5 months,( october 04 ) I now expect at the earliest 4.5 to 5 months.
Obviously some of the dealers selling at inlated prices are jumping the waiting list.
As usual the little guy loses out.
