Default What Do You Fly OTHER than your jet?

Just Curious what the jet community flies besides jets. I personally stick to an electric Zagi. It is super simple and just rides around in my car. I have total versatilty its great. I have become allergic to the two stroke sound!

Electric Hornet, H-9 Su-31, Airbus Industries A-320/319. Yeah, I know my screen name is 777fo but that was before 9-11. Just lucky to still have a job.

Just selling off the last of my small stuff...most has not been flown in years.

Currently active and ready to go with a battery charge:

H9 Ultra Stick Lite, YS140FZ. Fun sport flyer with flaps. For my non-turbine club field.

Aeroworks 35% Edge 540, BME100 Comp. My "Energizer bunny" model - Seven years old, more than 900 flights, still going strong through five seasons of IMAC/SCAT contests.

World Models P-51 w/ YS 53Z. For sale!

Sig Lil' Rascal (Xmas gift). Park flyer.

Four "Peregrine" own design 3M competition sailplanes - all composite F3E, slope race, and TD versions (I used to make these kits years ago).

4M L-33 (scale) sailplane. For slope and aerotow.

2M composite Fox scale sailplane. For slope.

3M composite "Sting" F3F and slope racing sailplane. Sloper.

60" composite wingeron semi-scale Salto sailplane. Slope racing and fun slope flying.

A bunch of Boomerang combat slope gliders.

Picojet electric propjet foamie wing thing.

IFO electric for front yard 3D.

Four S400 electric pylon racers (Adrenalin's and SCATcats)

Avocet all composite F5B electric sailplane (will out-accelerate/out-climb an F1/Q40 model)

Also a bunch of older stuff too numerous to mention.

I live near Torrey Pines and usually fly gliders or electric one day and power (these days - only turbine!) the next on the weekend.

Hmm lets see I sold most of my prop planes in the last year or so-I have had approx. 25-30 different planes in the last 2 years. What I still have are that arent jets :

WM Midgett Mustang-overpowered just the way I like them (with a OS108 stroke )
WM T34 with a OS65-again overpowered LOL
WM GS P51"miss america " with a Moki210
GSP 1/3 scale Giles202 with a ZDZ80 gasser with smoke-not done yet
Pica T28 with a Saito100-not done yet

I am one of the few on here in the jets forum that still loves flying prop jobs,in fact I enjoy them just as much as jets

I just got an rather large GEEBEE at a swap meet this weekend. I really like the ucando 3d 60 size. Other than that, it's jets! Although I did build a flying wing on brushless motor that does over 100 mph. Many people have commented when I pull it out that they thought they were about to see a zagi type performance. When this thing goes whizzing by, it commands attention!

Your poll only allows for one choice - why not more ?

I still fly glow powered fix wing models of all sizes, gas powered giant scale, glow powered heli, etc.

40 size DAZZLER [8D] I love it, I got that thing from a guy that I asked to let me give it a few laps and I crashed it on landing so I paid him for it and for him to fix it back up so I fly the Dazzler when I can, Its fun and simple and easy to put together everytime I crash it

Maybe you should add a spot for full scale planes. It would be interesting to see how many people are Private pilots, etc.

Holy Cow!!!! Thanks for the great response guys!!!

I totally appreciate your input

Too late now, but maybe we should run a poll to see what percentage of jet pilots fly full scale, and what percentage of non jet pilots fly full scale?
