Default Turbine Jet Newbie Video.

This video is of a Eurojet. (i think)
This is the Pilots 1st Flight with the plane & any kind of Turbine. He mostly flies Glow & Electric.
The field is WAY to small & bumpy for Jets, it's hard to get 60 size planes up here.
The video will show the take off (close call) & about 5 aborted landings.
(again close calls)(tips stalls)
Sorry for the shaky Camera, was trying to watch out for the planes.

[X(]yikes ... not much of a runway.
There is a example of the euro short field abilities... Too close for me.
Glad he got it back down OK without dumping it in the weeds

Shows to go ya, Eurosports can fly out of a stone quarry surrounded by power wires as long as you have enough gas to go round a couple of times while you get your mojo workin'.....

Was this guy even a waiver holder? Looks like a lot of dry grass around a very marginal strip.

Got to love those EuroSports! Most other jets would have been "toast" under similar conditions (field and pilot).

I guess thats why he is flying in that small open field . From watching that video i realize why its important for some pilot to have waiver. He made a very good choice with the E/F jet very forgiving

as long as he can handle himself, who cares if he has a waiver or not .. that sure does not look like a AMA field to me .... i have flown jets and turbine helis for almost 2 years without a waiver, but its been at non AMA sites, where it is not relevant if you have a waiver or now . ( like private airports, or other private property) ....

i do have to say the plane looked underpowered, either it was, or the dude was afraid of punching the power in ... the field was tight as well, i do not think many of a plane other than the ES would have flown from there ....

congratulatins on what looked like a successfull 1st turbine flight ... dont be afraid of full throttle on that plane

I think it looks like a wonderful example of using the elevator to control your glide slope instead of the throttle like it should be. Use throttle for glide slope and elevator for airspeed. He was diving at the runway causing excessive speed over the threshold.

Each landing approach was the same, this plane has nine lives.

Dead on! This airplane would have no problem flying out of a field this size with proper landing technique. It is possible to land this airplane on 200 ft of runway given the correct landing attitude!

After watching it a few times if you listen to the guys making the tape they are talking about what counts as a crash, almost like they have money on it... How is that for some flying buddies ....

Hay i give the guy two thumbs up
He took off from a short not so perfect road/runway.[8D]
the plane looked under powered.[8D]
He was able to land it in one peace......

As far as a waiver he does not need one to fly a turbine powered aircraft or even buy one as long as he is not flying at an AMA field or event....[>:]

I have a waiver but i choose to fly my models at non AMA fields, no old farts and Pain in the ass_es

Alan, the only thing you have to worry about is that Wojtek character flying at your field, I would take my chances crossing a 4 lane highway at rush hour with a blindfold on before I turned my back on Wojtek.
Sooner or later hes going to get tired of listening to me and get that waiver even if we have to drag him to a jet rally and tie him to the fence with an extra buddy box cord. Wojtek are you hearing this?

Funny you keep saying that Don, as you have never seen me fly, and the only opinion you have of me other than Alan is from a dumb retarded moron that gets a woody flying a GWS foamie !! I have many a times asked you if you want to join us flying, and you have yet to accept .... are you hiding something ? I have heard you do pull off a great "hover" though .... ... so when you gona quit the hobby and sell all the shiait I traded/sold you back to me for 1/4 price ?? I’m starting up on another summer shopping spree I’m already I’m gona hit $20K before June, so you better give me a good deal .... hey , how about fishing .. that sounds fun, huh Don ? or chess ? maybe you should give model ship building a try (talk to Alan about that one )

oh yea, where the hell is my bell230 ?? are you going to blame that wonderful Austrian prodigy again for the delays ? or are you gona suck it up and admit you are only 1 out of 1000s of dealers that has problems

hey !! Saturday looks good COME OUT AND FLY !!! you big pudgy chicken !!!

later dude ...

Harrier or Euro? those were some pretty 3d approaches! lol, was that a roadside ditch they were flying in? must be a better place, just must be.
Those powerlines, those high banks, the cackling crowd!, for his 1st flight on this plane/type i think he did real well all things considered.
Would i stand on the flight line next to him??? [:-] No Way!.
