Default JR8103 Programing

Hi guy's,

I've got an 8103 airplane version, I need to know how to program the 3 position switch so that I can use it with my Jetcat P70 turbine. I know that I can use the throttle trim but I perfer to use the 3 position switch.

Regards,
Alex

I don't know much about JR radios. If the switch you want to use has a dedicated channel assigned to it and each of the three switch positions outputs a different signal. (e.g. 0%, 50% and 100%) then that is all the programming you need on your transmitter.

The rest is done on the JetCat ECU using the learn RC function. It is described in the JetCat manual.

do what I & many others have........
use the rotory knob aux3 (top right) and teach the ECU the "3" position you will use

Off : full counter clockwise or 9 o'clock your choice
start : 12:00 staright up
auto shtdown: : full clockwise or 3 o'clock your choice

you will see on your data terminal the pulse count,
note that at +/- 2 clicks of the set position the ECU will accept that command

I've found another way!
Program mix 3: aux3-aux3, rate on top 0%,rate on bottom Plus 100%,sw:land.
program mix 4: aux3-aux3,rate on top 0%,rate on bottom -100%,sw:ele>f.
travel adj: aux3 0% top and bottom.
I'll then put a drop of glue on the aux 3 knob to keep it from moving and use my flap mix for the turbine activation. I perfere this setup so that in an emergency I can shut down the turbine real fast.

Tanks for all your help,

Alex

i have a jr 8103H i have it set up in the acro mode, but i also have it set up for single channel. this way you do not need to use the rotory knob or the 3 position switch,

do other pilots use the single channel??

What Alex Wenzl said seems like it will work but if you ever have any questions about programming go to the radio forum and ask Danny( he works for JR and is good! Sure helped me out !

You can set the input for spoiler to "Mix" or "Pot" on the main menu, that might remove the need for the glue?

It will take me some digging but some time later tonight or this afternoon I will post how to properly setup a 3-pos switch on the 8103, I have the directions somewhere stored on a backup cd.
