TGA Jets
Hello,
Good luck with your Top Cat John!
I recently helped my good friend George DelMoral put his togther.
Top Gun had pics of it posted on their web site, it's the one with the yellow and black paint Job.
The only things negative I can say about the kit is: one the canopy could fit a bit better than it does, and you may want to modify the way it attaches to the fuse.
Secondly, the instruction manual leaves a few things to the imagination, but if you have fair building skills, you should have no problem getting her flight ready!!
I can say that it is a great flying jet. With the Ram 500, the take offs are short, climbs out nicely and has good aerobatic performance.
I have heard all the kit bashing remarks people have made about this kit and for what its worth I think its a great "turbine trainer". It builds quick, flies great, and the price is nice.
Once again, good luck with yours!
Joey.

TGA TOPCAT
I am very happy with my TOPCAT. Built it in three weeks of evenings after dinner, spent about three hours a night on it . It does go together easy, I did not have a problem with the instruction manual, in fact I put it toghether useing the pictures more than written info. I made up some plywood canopy edge holders and used them where the canopy rim mates with the fuse to keep the gap even, worked great. The kit comes with a 1/4 x 20 nylon bolt to attach the rear of the canopy, this seems like a simple low tec way, but I put in a latch. I have flown it now at least 50 times, 15 from our grass field. I have a P-80 which I got from them also along with everything else they had avaliable, I bought it in one big combo pack. The kit and most of the items were shipped right away, the ones that were on back order took about a week to get. The one thing I did like about working witht TGA is that they kept me current on what was up with my order and when stuff was going to be sent out. I realize sometimes the manufacturer does not have a say if their suppliers are always on time, but keeping me informed is the next best time. The bottom line is they kept their word.

YOU KNOW IT.
You know what the worst part of buying all this cool stuff is??
WAITING FOR IT TO COME IN!!!
I am going nuts trying to learn everything since the turbines are new to me. I am not even interested in flying a ducted fan anymore, or my helicopters, or my propplanes, or......

Stupor?
Jeff,
Is that what you call it? Stupor? Hmmm . . . Well, I thought it was just a transitional phase, but go ahead and put me in my place! That explains why he has spent most afternoons sitting out front by the end of the driveway in the rain.
I'll have to concede I guess you get first kick at the cat. But make it fast so we can all get to feeding like gulls on a herring ball.

Someones calling
Hey John,
Hope to see the fire breathing machine soon! Must be some way you could call them for the UPS tracking number, then the UPS site makes it so easy to track.
Either that, or you drive a few states south-east and intercept it!
Spouse is a-calling. Catch you all later.
