Plenty of Jet-A available. T-Oil may be a problem. Won't know until then. There is another airport within about 10 miles where plenty of oil will be available if unavailable at LW.

Hello, Im interested in attending florida jets.. but the map supplied on website is kinda hard to read/understand.. I live in port charlotte of I-75, between sarasota and fort myers. can i take I-75 to tampa then I-4 to lakeland to get there? or is there a faster/easier way.. I know 27 goes there but i dont like driving down that highway since its alot of backroads.. any suggestions? do i need to bring food,drinks etc? are specators allowed to walk around pit area to take pictures? thanks

Dial up Mapquest and take a look from your area. There are several routs, but going to Lakeland isn't a very good one. Getting on 17 to Bartow, and then east to Lake Wales is probably best.

Take 75 north to 60 east right into lake wales. The airport is on 60 before you get to town.

Question: do people bring their jets to show off even though they have no plans on flying at the event? Does everyone just setup tents and stuff by the runway with their jets on display? So I'll I need is a pocket full of money!

Diceman we have a RV we plan to setup as well my friend Todd has a tent Rented there. Now my question is where can I park the RV? "Behind the Tent!"

We have a section for all RV's, campers etc just behind the flightline.

There is not room on the flight-line. Same procedure as in past years.

I would not reccommend the Super 8. I am not sure it's still there. Lots of damage from the storm.

All the "additional" hotels seem to be sold out for Friday and Saturday...apparently some other big event going on in the area. Any other suggestions?

Try the Holiday Inn in Lake Hamilton - about 25 min north from LW airport.

Try the Davis Brothers Hotel in Bartow - about 20 min west from LW airport.
