Default Duralite Regulator Help

I just recently acquired a manual start JG100 engine. The pump battery is a 4.8 v 1400 mah battery. I would like to replace this with a duralite battery. The only problem is the manual clearly states do not use a battery over 4.8 volts. What I need is a source for a 5.1 volt regulator that can handle a duralite but also wired with the heavier connector leads (16 awg) for the battery and the pump motor.

I have checked duralites site but they only have the regulators wired with 22 awg leads, does anyone know where I can get such a regulator.

Thanks in advance.

Patrick.

I would like to say thanks to all those who replied, I have the solution that I was looking for.

I would like to also send a special Thank You to Todd Witkoff who got me the information that I needed, but the person that I deserves my gratitude the most in helping me with this situation is Gaspar Espiell. Even though I did not buy the FADEC ECU I will be using on my motor from him he sent me multiple emails answering all my questions concerning the ECU, even the dumb questions. He went above and beyond with the help he gave me. Knowing that is the kind of support he gives people who aren't even his customers I would not hesitate to buy a thing from him. A1 in my book.

Mr. Espiell informed me that the FADEC ECU can function fine with a battery up to 10 volts. A voltage regulator is not needed for it.

Just to be one the safe side you may want to bench test.

CFII1974,
I had planned on running it this weekend on a test stand to familiarized myself with it's operation. I don't think I will have any problems with it, since the designer of the ECU has given me the information that I needed. Also had someone else send me an email who is using a duralite with a FADEC ECU. But I will test before putting it in a model.

Patrick.
