Here is a short video of mine. this is my third flight and I am still tuning flight controls to fit my tastes as you can see I still have troubles to determine the good landing attitude.
There was a lot of wind for this flight, and a bit bumpy but after this one I think I won't change the turbine tilt, it's good for me with stock part . It track like on rails
I already LOVE it and I wiill start smooth aerobatic next flight..

About the CG, when I waked up yesterday and saw the wind, I decided to move it close to the forward limit. At the forward limit you still have a excelent response of the elevator (maybe too good response,, see my landing). My Cg will remain close to the front and I'll put some expo on the elevator. If you look the size of the club runway I think this will be a good setup to not finish in the grass or bend a nose gear. That plane love to fly and refuse the ground.

about my setup, I give you one more opinion. I decided to switch from kero to gas start after having burned 1 sq feet of the club grass . The P60 kero start option is not a good choice for this particular design
I don't blame the kero start concept, but the p60 kero "addon" is in my opinion not a good stuff for the R54 particular configuration

Flown again early this morning in calm weather, CARS II asked for my cg opinion, so here it is . On mine I will place it definitly 1/4 inches bacward of the FORWARD limit, I found the plane stable and responsive in that configuration. I set also some expo on the elevator to help to manage a precise flare.
The setup go for me, but everibody fly different, In my opinion The forgiving nature of the design allow you to experiment your own cg tuning without being too concerned as soon you remain in the limits

good job, don't do the mistake I made by placing the spring loaded hatch retainer too early. This make the nose section primary sanding a bit difficult
My side after a flight dedicated to touch and go I found the good landing attitude and speed yesterday
My girlfriend took this nice shot
