ok heres some pics and thoughts, landing gear has a 25mm dia piston and very smooth and positive feel and lock. 32lbs of pressure on the hand pump had it lifting and rotating with no drama. if anything i would say it gives me a feeling of confidece, probably a good thing that. more fotos and pics in a minute, after my snack

got 1 wrong foto in that lot! i guess the taxman is right when he sends those nasty letters telling me i can't add up! heres a few more, everything i've seen of this model so far is pretty darn convincing, 1 little winge to come though. yes mylo thats the back end, and thats a 1meter ruler (40 inch for you poor americans stuck back a few centuries! [joke])

sorry weasel, you are quite correct of course. don't you love that green gleam of envy in the eyes of your friends sometimes. a few more pics and the only thing i have found to question, the elevators appear to be setup to push for up elevator, and the torque arm is about 25mm, not a big deal really but i'll see what i can do about it, pretty easy to modify in order to mollify, me! they are carried in an aluminium bracket on 2 ball bearings, spaced about 60mm apart, stiff looking setup and not too hard to dissemble for transport, fin too. inside fotos soon, cockpit is excellent, actually much better than that! fits are really good, tight but not stressed, if anyone is thinking about this model, there dosen't seem to be a thing to worry about, starting to sound like a dealer i think! this one must be one of the first of the large f 16's and i can't find a genuine problem with it, i'm picky too, i have an s/m f 18c and this is leaps and bounds ahead, bigger, lighter, better (built and surface detail) they're going the way all good manufacturers should,. more on saturday, for now i'm stoked!!!

Blackcat, I didn't see from any of your photos, but did it come with ducting/pipe and are you going to bypass? What engine will you use, 36lb? That gear is pretty nice!~).
No dude, it's 40"! hahaha!

Hi all Skymaster F16 1/6 owners,
Congratulations on your investments!
Skymaster will send free of charged, oil damped replacement oleos, titanium elevator pushrod and instruction manual with CD end of month to all who already purchased the kit.
The elevator will use 2 of the new JR8711 25Kg servo with titanium pushrods and metal servo arms. 1 at each side! So if you do not want to wait for instruction please make sure about installation.
Regards
Morne

to joe and chris, yes it came with ducting and bypass, which i always use (space permitting), i think that the positives of fully ducted systems are; more linear power transitions, containment of fire if that happens- a few seconds can make all the difference, and i just don't like the thought of 250 kmh wind blowing through the guts of my model! this will get a 160, either jetcat or the new booster.
some more fotos, the yellow spot in the corner of the doors was the kevlar hinge which i cut through, durr, but i couldn't think of a way to attach the door inner without distorting the door when in place, next is vac bagging for dumies 101, elevator torque arm, elevator bearings- nice stiff feel around the pivot shaft, and wheel brakes with lots of grip at 40psi. 1 main retract is in and im playing around with the up/down motion, down lock is proving to be a little fiddely but i've really only just started. if your interested-watch this space! oh yeah came from dave at scale jets australia

Hi Jeff, or blackcat,
Glad you are enjoying the build of the 1/6th F16. I have another 4 arriving shortly, and will be pleased to see yours completed for the next jet meet in November.
If you need help with transport for the meet, it is a big model, then we can put in the company trailer with room to spare.

heres a few more photos for size comparison, thats my s/m f18, and the car is a fairly large one(in australia anyway, but i might need to super-size?) going together nicely, apart from work getting in the way of 'the life', will post some more detail shots later, i'll just enjoy my flu for awhile first
