Default Whip antennas for jets

Hello guys,

Which whip antennas would you recommend for 72 Mhz Futaba Rx for jets ? and why ?

Links would be helpful.

Also, has anyone tried these from Quick UK ?

thanks.

I have used the Horizon revolution whip antennas with complete success, they are found on their website. You have to have your insall clean and tidy. The best is to stcik the whip out of the jet as you see here. I get over 150 feet with the TX antenna OFF...

What reciever are you using. I'm interested because I want to use a whip on the R5014 (14MZ) and it seems like the general concensus is no on that particular reciever.

Thanks for the info

I am using the JR 10 Rx's. On my next project, I will be using the Fut 5014 with the stock 20" antenna. Using a whip on this Rx May cause trouble since it will think it is a 40" antenna and may pick up too much noise....

Cliff.. it is recommended you use the factory stranded wire antenna that comes with the 14MZ receiver. Futaba service center will not tune any other antenna to any Futaba receiver other than factory equipment. If you want to use a whip antenna, I suggest you contact Tony Stillman (Radio South) and ask him if he will custom tune / align a whip antennna to your Futaba receiver.
