I understand Jim Fox sold out and the new owners let the company die. What are you looking for? Many planes can be found out there.

Jim Fox is on:

http://www.dornan.karoo.net/

But he doesn't make kits anymore. Tracy Adam has his line of kits now. His company is called Jetstyle UK and his address is:
http://www.tracyadam.karoo.net/

Chris

RCNATS

All I was saying is if you look around and post some 'wanted' adds you can usually come up with a kit from somewhere.

Hi, I have the information about Jim Fox Models. I am Jim Fox and I sold the company in 1999 to Colin and Adam Loveday. they let most of it die but kept on doing some fibreglass work for a time and then I believe this died also.
The moulds were sold off and dispersed around the UK to various individuals.
Adam did for a while carry on with the Jetstyle name and was available on the Tracyadam site although as far as i know now has no moulds left.
I have moved to Thailand now and am looking into the possibility of manufacturing here as most things are so much cheaper but everything also seems so more more difficult to achieve.
I will be working under the name fox-composites.com.
If you need to ask questions on any of the old kits you can mail me on [email protected] for now till I get the new address sorted.

wow jim that sounds promising! with the 54 and 44 motors your "line" would have been perfect. wanna pull back the curtain a bit on what you might be working on? how about you too paul? you can't rest your laurel's on the -39 for too much longer can you!

always great to hear from you guys... still would rather do it over a pint but sounds like that might be a longer distance than before..

Hi Jim,
Just thought I'd let you know that I finally flew that Viggen I bought as a df kit from you at least 10 years ago. Scared the S**t out of me. Ihad fogotten that they are the very devil to see. I had the bright idea to finish it in splinter camoflage. Know what? Camoflage works! Anyway I have new glasses now so I am undaunted.
Is it true that Viagra can effect your eyesight though? Bugger, what a dilemma.
Regards,

John.

Hi yes I am working on a few projects here with the first one being a Smallish Sabre suitable for 44 and 54 motors. Will test it on a on an AMT Mercury to make sure it holds together.
Fully composite of course with most of the building done for you. This will take time though and I guess nothing much will be availble for at least 6 months.
Don't want to give any more away at the moment as some of the projects might not come to fruition.
The people here in Thailand are lovely but have no idea about modelling or why a grown man would want to spend so much money on something like this. The same as wives in Europe and the US I guess.
Nice of you to remember me.
Hope you are ok Jim

Hi, yes Viagra can affect your eyesight but why would you be taking it to go flying?????
Are you looking for somewhere to rest your TX?
Yes the Viggen is a difficult subject to see, dayglo wingtips always sorted it for me. But then I wasn't taking Viagra when I went flying.

Hi Paul

I met you at Martin Baker a couple of Sundays ago. I have seen the Jim Fox hawk again today in EDF at Abingdon and again it looked very good and held its own. I am wondering if you have any web details for the kit ? Also managed a quick video of your landing if you want to have a look Ill upload it.

Regards

You say you saw the Hawk EDF at Abingdon, do you know whose it was?

This is the thread you need for info.

Curious, Jim, how your Javelin model (twin cox 020s) flies. A "Dr. Scribbles" is offering the plans on ebay. I suppose it could be updated to twin edf's, not sure how big. I have seen another Javelin crash in a loop when the tail became unresponsive due to the wash from the wings. Also curious as to the weight disadvantage using FG vs solid foam structures, and also vs. built up balsa covered with monokote. Jets need to be light as small edfs are anemic at best.
