I don't think it matters much as long as you arrange the thrust tube so that no hot gasses are outside the tube on maximum deflection.

Mike, OK-After your turbine is on the rails and the tube is straight and level, about how far does your turbine exhaust cone go up into the vector tube?? Mabey that will give me a starting point. I know this will vari some but its a start. Thanks for posting for me! Roy

Mine is a full vectored unit so may be a little different to yours, but I have it arranged so that that the exhaust cone of the turbine would contact the vector unit if I had maximum deflection plus 5mm, you don't need a lot of deflection to have an effect, but boy can you do short take offs and the landings can be at very high alpha.

Great Minke and thanks for the info. NOW-All I have to do is wait on a deal in the retracts Dept for it. Ha. Ha. I may wait for a set of Robart 630 to show it's head here and than go from there. Will Prob go with Tods (dreamworks) prolink struts and Intairco wheels and brakes. I'm not in a big hurry to get it in the air. It's sort of a phoenix of an airframe anyway. Several little things to do to it post it's last owner. Ha. Ha. Thanks again mate. Roy

You may want to reconsider the Intairco wheels, they are very heavy compared to others out there and the Rookie fly's best when its light.

Hey guys. Does anyone have a Rabbit set-up in their Rookie II that could post a few shots of the turbine set-up that shows the vecter tube and engine. Would be great? Thanks Roy
