Hydralic pump and accumulator
I remember reading about a nify Hydralic Landing gear pump and accumulator system in an issue of Jet International. I am out of town so i don't have access to my stash of mags. does anyone have any info on who makes the system and if there is a website on the pump/accumulator system?
Thanks in advance.

Joe,
I think you may be referring to the Omega system. If that is the case, here is the contact info.

RE: Hydralic pump and accumulator
Hello,
I am using the Hausl system now (not flown yet) and I am very pleased with it. In my opinion Peter offers a couple of unique technologies. First, his cylinders lock up and down. You can pull the hoses off and they do not unlock. Landing loads do not place any pressure stress on the hoses either. You can use regular 4mm fuel tubing to hook everything up. They are relatively inexpensive and can be made to any stroke, in several diameters.
Second, he uses an air over hydraulic accumulator ( I do not think the other systems have a true pressure accumulator) that causes the pump to only run on demand.
So far so good.
Regards,

RE: Hydralic pump and accumulator
My apologies, www.modelltechnik.at (2 Ls) This system was descrbed in detail in RCJI about 2 years ago. It is different in that the Hausl system is a constant pressure system using a pressure accumulator and pressure switch whereas the Omega system has no pressure accumulator just a reservoir and is a timed switch system. Both work very well.
