Default Small diameter wheel brakes?

Ok guys, i am trying to figure out what size wheels i will need to use on my C-5 Project. It will have 24 main wheels, 6 wheels per bogie. The question is, b/c i am going to be using turbines i will need brakes. I was just going to use 1 wheel brake per bogie (4 total), as the landing speed will be relativley slow. I am llokingg at using 1.5 to 2 inch wheels so i am going to need brakes for that size. Iw ould rather use 1.5 inch so that i could use the scale size gear doors. As far as i have found, robart is the only one to offer brakes at that size (2 inch). Anybody know something else tht is in the 1.5 inch size? Thanks, Nick

you can get them braked or without.

Nick
I don't think you'll find off the shelf wheels/brakes at the 1.5 inch dia. EJF sells a 2 inch wheel/brake, If your serious about the C5 why not go to someone like Glennis or Serria and cet them custom made . There going to be big bucks, but just take a few more trips ,eat MRE's and use the perdiem for the wheels/brakes If that option is no good just up the scale so you could use OFF the SHELF items.....

Hey Joe, thanks. I actually originall had the scale at 2 times what it is now, and man i would have to by a 30 ft trailer to haul it even with it broken down[X(]. I will go with the EJF ones that you pointed out, that will do, i will just make the gear doors a lil wider. I just dont want to have to resort to making a functional castering system to rotate the gear 90 degrees inboard to get them in the wells. Thanks man, Nick

Oh yeah, there wont be any flying for me soon enough, i just went through the AMP program, new avionics and we only have three jets converted with 50 engineers waiting to fly....NoGO

Mario, good luck on your "check ride". This wind is horrible, hope it calms down sooner than later. See ya

yes thats me,
hey Nick the brakes I pointed you to have about an inch
wide drum that will fit inside most small tires(robart style) should work fine on the C-5.
