Yellow Aircraft F-22 Kit and F-15 ARF Arrival
Hey,
The new F-22 kit is on its way here! These are the nicest F-22's out there by far. We should have them by next Friday. I have a few that are unspoken for, so contact me right away if you are interested in one. The latest batch of F-15 ARFs are in the same crate. We have a couple of the camo birds, plus a few of the high-vis Edwards schemes as well. Happy flying!

RE: Yellow Aircraft F-22 Kit and F-15 ARF Arrival
I have a very serious question
I cannot fly tubines at my field.
Would the BVM (or another brand) Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) work in the F-22
Any possibility of it fitting / having enough thrust ?
Thanks
Steve

another question, that I am sure other people are curious about as well is when the new F-14 is going to be released. I wan't to do an F-14, but dont want to wait for your kit indefinitely if its not coming out or if it will be more than a year away. Any idea when we can expect it's release?

Hi,
I've learned not to tell a modeler what he can't do, but I think the EDF conversion for this bird would be rather difficult. One fan isn't going to fly it, and two fans means redesigning the ducting. The ducting is designed for single-engine operation, and the non-rotating gear would be in the way of twin inlets. It's a pretty big bird, so it's meant to fly on a P-120 or better.

re: F14
the new YA F-14 seems to be a myth.... Maybe they're planning a concurrent release with Duke Nukem Forever?
Any idea when we can expect it's release?

Dont hold your breath, I would get an Avonds, you'll be done before the Yellow kit is released.

Wow, that don't sound like a sour grapes comment, do it? And to think I was just about to almost congratulate you on your almost accomplishment.....
Guys, this thread is about the F-22. I'm not going to answer F-14 questions in this thread. There are a few F-14 threads around. Ask your questions in those, and I'll be happy to respond.

I am not sure why folks keep asking this question,,, Shaun can only move the product, he does not have the molds in his garage. Call Charles and ask him so he will do something about it.

wow. great rep you are. I was asking because its your thread and you are a YA rep are you not? wouldnt it be simpler to say, it will be out on XXXX rather than being a di$^head? You just ensured I'll never buy anything from you. I guess I'll get my F-22 and my F-14 elsewhere.
btw, someone did ask in the Yellow f-14 thread, and guess what. 8 months later there is still no answer there either.

Its funny with all the great planes Yellow has on the market, and as helpful as Shaun always is on here helping the builders of his products, almost every time he posts someone gets upset over the much delayed F14. Maybe the Yellow sites being a little out of date might be adding to the confusion.

Hello,
Are most of the Chinese ARF F-15s the same scale, which is around 1/9 I think? Thanks, Aman

Hi,
Ahh, the drama of life on RCU.....
Twax, by all means, buy (or don't buy) your F-15 and F-14 where ever you want to. One of the beautiful things about dealing this product is that it's not my bread-n-butter, it's just my hobby. That means I don't have to deal with any more crap than I feel like dealing with on a particular day. For example, if a 'customer' comes into a thread about F-22s and posts a question/jab about a totally different product, chances are they may turn out to be more of a headache than the meager commission is worth--assuming they were ever serious in the first place. Now, I never make assumptions about who is and who isn't a serious customer, but I can make educated guesses about who is going to be a pleasant and pleasurable person to deal with. Since, again, this isn't what puts food on my family's table, I have the luxury of not caring if someone like you says he'll not buy from me. I doubt very seriously you would ever buy a turbine-powered F-14 anyway. Now, that's not a "you can't afford it" comment--it's a "you don't seem to have the patience it requires to successfully build/operate such equipment" comment. Again, I could be wrong, but I've been dealing Yellow products since '97, and have developed a pretty good sniffer for this kind of stuff.
RCJET101 and Dave, thanks for the kudos. I probably get three to four emails and a call or two per day about our products. This has been pretty consistent for years and years. I still love helping the guys on here with our stuff, or other stuff, and I really enjoy the friendships I've developed over the years through the hobby!
