It's my new favorite argument of the month, should we pay a thousand bucks to support the left coast high costs of living in Los Angeles, or two hundred and fifty to the low cost workers in Mexico City?
If you're willing to send your money to a chinese, or thailand manufacturer of Jets (including the latest BVM products), what is it that the purple anodizing is getting you these days?
I don't live in California, so I don't get the "Friends only let friends buy purple" comments around these parts. But I certainly understand the logic and don't blame them. Around here, we regularly beat and make fun of those who attempt to get help in RC Jets using Futaba or Hitec equipment. [sm=punching.gif]

I think if you buy a Jet Joe from Gabe, as long as he is around, he's going to help you get it running right. So far, they appear to be coming along as a contender for the entry level turbine.
I have built and flown a lot of jets. Some were better than I expected, and some were just never what I had hoped for. Some things I buy and use in this hobby, I have regretted, and some things I don't want to be in this hobby without!
I bought one of those Facon 120's cause someday I want to build a turbine just to prove a 250 dollar jet will fly good. It might end up a smoking hole in the ground. Such is life.
Do I think you're taking a chance buying a jet joe? Ya, I personally do. Could the chance pay out with tons of great flights, sure it could.
As for the mouse in my Pocket, everyone knows Bob will go half way around the country to help a friend, he's done it more than once. So I guess "round here" applies to me
You should dump the Futaba, but what the hell do I know............[8D]

you should read more of my posts. I sold all my jetcats and bought all new Artes. Nobody has a two second spool up.
Artes spool up as at least as good as every other turbine out there, and in a lot of cases, it's faster.
I have probably 500 flights on Jetcat P-120's, which were the worse spool up of all. I never crashed a jet because of spool up time, and if you do, you were setup crappy to begin with and you should have made the decision to hit the power sooner anyway, so go home, fix your wingtips and fly another day. It's a good lesson for everyone to learn anyway.

I don't even know what this post is supposed to be about between the lack of a title to a changed title, editted posts, and going off in random directions, so I'm closing it, if there actually is something to be discussed then start a new post. I can't even tell what posts are supposed to be "humor" vs sarcasm etc here, lets try a little reading and writing comprehension next time.
