In true southern fashion, we saved our nice bathroom for the wimens and chilluns and made all the men use the portable outhouses. We put a sign up on the nice bathroom, however, some of the folks didn't speak southern and so somebody provided an unauthorized translation.

It was freezing early this morning. 63 or 64 degrees Fahrenheit I believe. Really cold. Thank goodness it warmed up to around 80 by mid day.

What an awesome event!

First-class diggs and good friends - doesn't get any better than this!

Thanks to the entire Georgia Gang for the incredible time and true southern hospitality!

No stone was left unturned. Great food, impeccable flying facility and perfect weather.

Had a chance to catch up with many old friends and met a few new ones too.

An extra special thanks to Dee Miller ( Grumpy Dee ), Mike Pascoe, Jack Diaz, Tom Dodgen and Joey Tamez for all their help.

See you soon!

Had an absolute great time, thanks for all the hospitality. This is one of the greatest flying sites in the US and a great bunch of guys who run it. It gets better ever time I come down there.
Hope to be back again soon. Thanks again!!!

Guys,

This has to be the most fun, laid back event I have flown at in I don't know how long. The sites is beyond belief, the weather was great and the gang running the show did an unbelievable job of making one and all feel like a member of the family. What an awesome site...an awesome event...awesome flying done by everyone...it was almost indescribable...top notch...pure and simple.

Thanks to Gordon and the gang for all of your hard work...please do it again next year!

Beave

PS. J...I swear...I don't know B...I have never met him...I have never talked to him...and I would not know who he was if he came to my front door to sell me some toilet paper.

Hello Everybody,

I want to express my sincere thanks to everyone that attended the 2007 Super Jet South Event! The event was a resounding success and I had a blast. I especially enjoyed watching you guys fly and visiting with all of you. There is really something special about the comradery in this hobby. All of you guys were a bunch of fun to be around and you can all flat fly. Y'all put on an outstanding show!

I want to congratulate the Super Jet South awards winners and raffle winners: Johnny Hernandez, Jack Diaz, Derrick Martin, Craig Gottschang, Joey Tamez, Phil Nuza and Eric Clapp. You guys were all great! Also, I want to thank the event sponsers: BVM, FTE, Tam Jets, JetCat, JR/Horizon, JetCat and 3D Flyer.

I want to also send a big thank you to the Georgia Jets Flying Club members who worked so hard to make this event the huge success that it was. I especially want to thank Mike Pascoe and Joe Rafalowski who worked tirelessly behind the scenes over the last several months preparing for the event.

Thanks to everyone!

Gordon

PS: Hey Johnny, You joined an elite group Saturday morning. I am a card carrying Bush Club member too!

My hat is off to the Georgia Jet Gang for a surpurb, awesome really well ran jet event. Also thanks to Gordon Dickins for his generous investment to secure a 2nd to none jet field and club. This is the most awesome flying site that i have ever seen or flew at.

Thanks: Garrett said we need to leave the jets at home and just bring our four wheelers. Rusty and Mike P thanks for you time riding with Garrett.

Gordon your pics are great!! If only Uncle Joe were there, you could have been holding your transmitter longer than your camera! You did an excellent job!

Thanks to all the ladies who ran the kitchen: Brenda, Nancy, Susan & Michele you all did great as did everyone else involved with the concessions! The BBQ dinner was most tasty as well!

Kirby, I enjoyed taking Garrett along with us, he was having a blast! (Please don't leave your jets a home next year though, that Flash is looking good)

Justin my man, Homer Huh?! OK....mmmmm, donuts!

Hope to see you all next year!

Hey Rusty,

Thanks for the comments about the photos! However, they were not all mine. Several of the pics were shot be Keith Sievers and my brother, Peck Dickens.

Hey Scott,

Great shot of Boomerang Barry! BTW, I like the way that you were working with Barry on the buddy box and it looked like he was close to going solo. Great Job! Congratulations Barry!

Again, thanks to Scott, Barry and everybody else that attended the event!

.......and Johnny Congratulations, but there are three rules of leadership you must remember as an airman, because of this you are now the model for future airmen for years to come.

Rule number one: Always make sure you can back up what you say or don't say it.

Rule number two: Always stay as close to the centerline as possible at all times with any kind of airplane.

Rule number three and most important rule: After me there is no other and before me there was none!

Lots of luck to all of you.

Keep em flying!
