Hey Zivo,

They have done that on my F-15, but I did not think about it before they shipped the F-16 [:@]. If you look on their web site, you will see your F-15 and down below it is the one that is being shipped to me today. I may have to somehow copy what they did on the F-15[sm=spinnyeyes.gif].

Hi Mike

Great Scheme on that F15.
Thats what I like about these guys - they are flexible when it comes to the color scheme.
I also placed another order for an F-16 in desert scheme, hope they aprove.

Cheers,
Zivo

Import Tax

For anyone in the UK that has bought one of these can you tell me the total price you paid door to door and did you get caught for import tax by UK customs or by the delivery company

Regards

Got my email with the DHL tracking number this morning. I ordered the F-16 Monday night 12/10 and was told that it would ship in 7 business days. Shipping should take 4 to 5 days, so there's a good chance that it will arrive Christmas Eve.

Sounds like I got my order in just before they got swamped. Looking forward to Christmas.

Interesting !!!

I just saw an announcement on Troy Built Models' website that they are going to be the exclusive importer (US importer?) of the Fly Eagle Jets Rafale. They are taking orders now with availablity in March. The price is $1595 delivered with control surfaces etc. installed. It will also be available in the Tiger Meet scheme for $1695.

Although they have not started production yet, right now you can order one from FEJ for $900 + 100 for hinging & installation (optional) + 221 shipping to the US = $1221. After March 30, 2008 when FEJ's introductory sale is over the prices will be closer. TBM makes no mention of the other FEJ models.

Here's the link to TBM's web page http://www.troybuiltmodels.com/FEJRafale.htm

My FEJ F-16 has been sitting at the local DHL facility since Saturday morning. I'm sure they are very busy due to the Christmas rush, none-the-less I'm disappointed that it wasn't delivered today. Hopefully it will be here Wednesday.

Hey Joe,

I know the feeling, My F-15 is sitting at the DHL in NewYork. I had left a large area under the tree fro it, but I guess Santa ain't gonna make it [sm=punching.gif]

Oh Well, I am still working on My F-16, I have come up with a way to install the hinges where they are all in line specially when working with a compound surfaces. Make sure you replace the retract wood screws with the allen head screws and the blind nuts provided.

Have A Merry ChristMass Everyone.

no reason to when you can just buy direct.... I think their flyeagle models will rot on the shelf next to the shokjets

Anyone tell me about the F-15 landing gear, is it robust enough to handle grass fields... with the oil struts and blow up tires looks like they should be pretty stout?!?!

LGM Graphix,

The will take orders for the Rafale but will not be ready for 30 to 45 days.

mugenkidd,

My F-15 is out for delivery as of 1 hr ago, If it is anything like their F-16, I am sure it will be fine.

I just ordered the Tiger Meet F-16, I always wanted the SkyMaster Tiger Meet F-16 but felt the price a bit much for what I saw. I wonder how this one will compare? I know Skymaster has some new vacume bagging FG technique or something that makes them lighter, but at the end of the day if it looks the same and flyes the same then who cares right?

Hi All,
I just ordered the Tigermeet F16 too!
I went through the USA contact ([email protected]) as i got no replies from China for my request for an invoice.
The USA contact did however mention a delivery time of 35-45 business days, and with the Chinese New Year
closing the factory for almost two weeks (02/01/2008 to 02/14/2008) i don't think i am going to get this jet
before the end of February 2008.

best regards
David

Ya, same here, up to 45 days...
Must have run out of stock. Not entirely suprised with those prices. Love to compare it with the SM F-16 and note the differences. I am puzzled as to why Skymaster Tiger Meet is more than twice the price.
Guess I'll have to wait and find out.
