Reaper bunging
Hi there
My friends Super Reaper Mk2 has a violently tendency to bounge at landings. He has 5 flight now on asphalt, and 3 of them ended fatal. One with to high landingspeed, where he by mistake let go of the elevator to early, and thereby touched with the nosewhell firstly. Result: 2-3 meters of vertical bunging, with no airspeed to save it.
Next time was with turbine cut-off, and very very slow landing. The jet might had dropped a little hard, due to no lift, but normally nothing to worry about. Result: 1-2 meters vertical bunging, with no airspeed to save it.
Third landing was just as bad.
My early Reaper Mk.1 had a damper-shaft between the main wheels, and newer had a problem. But this shaft is not suplied by MR anymore, and we have tried to buy some "sticky-grease" to make out own. 14 days later the shop says that the grease is not produced any more, and my friend wants to make a fast solution now.
MR saids to mount a solid shaft between the main wheels to avoid bunging, but this solution seems rather stiff in my opinion. Are there other ways to modify the standard gear, or shall he just follow MR’s sugestions? I know servel of you replace the gear to a more regid one, but he would prefer to modify the existing.
Please help!?

RE: Reaper bunging
The "special grease" that Mick supplied was some sort of grease for optical equipment. My buddy and I used the stock gear set up for a couple of years, until I finally wiped it our on a large clump of grass. It was replaced with Klett fibreglass gear, but that is not really strong enough...
