Hi Instructor

Nice, I like a lot the speed break. Is it efficient?
With turbine are using? Do you have more pic. of your plane?

Thanks a lot

Hi Igorcar,

If I had a chance to do it again, I think I would make the speed brake a little longer and wider. They do help a little. I am using a Jet Cat P-80 dialed back to 16 pounds of thrust. I found out if I do a slow fly-by and then make a landing, the speed is real low. It makes more sence to land out of a 40 MPH slow flight than a 70 MPH fly-by. As soon as I can get a chance, I'll take a few photos and send them to you....

I would make the speed brake at least 5 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. How much thrust from JJ1800? I am using a JR 821 Digital servo with 72 inch oz of torque on each flap. They only go down 35º because of the bevel on the leading edge......

Hey guys, as an alternative method for strengthening the wing, how about filling it with foam like these guys did for the Cessna 310 that kept having wing failures? I'm thinking of putting a gas engine in y 150 for the time being.

Hi guys
The JetJoe1800 is a 20Lb, and what do you think of the foam like on the wings? And what about the ruder?
In the ruder I think it’s good!

Thanks guys.

Igorcar,
Did you get the PDF file with the AutoCAD drawings?

It is up to you if you want to experiment with foam.

Hi RCISFUN
O thanks I got de PDF.(Can you send me the CAD file?) And do you have more thinks to help me?
About the foam, I think it will be good of about 20 flyits [&o], than starts to come apart. What do you think?
But in the Ruder I think it’s a good idea but with the plywood!

Does someone have a copy of the Formost upgrade which was on the Digitech website?

I`m thinking of buying a Formost 150 as first jet trainer but want now what the upgrade is all about.

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Berto.

Holy Smokes, A 120 SE in a Formost [X(]
Did you make the mods....I hope
What fuel tank is that, and what is the capacity?

How does it fly with that much power?

I was thinking of stripping all of the covering and glassing the wings and stab this winter then doing a paint job, it amazing how much that changes the look.

Yours looks awesome.

Berto

it is a custom made fuel tank.
holds about 90oz.

their is a 32oz smoke oil tank under the fuel tank.

The airplane flies great.

Hey Jorden,
How have you been?

The Formost flies great with the turbine, and the mods shown in the thread; why do you want to go with a gas engine?

Rich
