Thanks to both.

Thew field is great, not my homebase that`s half of this filed.
But for the maiden i wanted a little larger field 220 x 110 mtr, my home filed is only 100 x 80 mtrs so I have to learn to land short now but that won`t be a problem.

And Rich,

hell yeah it was worth the effort.

Sorry to hear about your friends 150 and Rabbit. Please contact him to advise him to pack everything that is left. . .good and damaged in zip lok bags and ship to me for inspection and repair.

Ship to:

Eric Clapp
Jet Central
7162 Dogwood Ct.
North Port, Florida 34287

Please have him include a return shipping address, email address and daytime telephone number. I will follow up with a complete estimate to bring this Rabbit back to "like new"

Juan Carlos. . .Sorry, I have in the last few minutes been informed you are actually in Mexico. Your Ontario, Canada address in your Avatar fooled me. Have your friend take it to our facility in Mexico City and Juan Ramon will certainly take care of you. . . please disregard shipping to me here in Florida. Edited @ 4:46pm EDT 03/28/09

Hi Eric

I apprecciate your help, however actually this accident ocurred in Mexico, so my understanding is that they already sent the turbine directly to Juan Ramon at Jet Central Facilities. Anyway, thanks again for your kind help.

And yes, I do not live in Ontario anymore, so I am in Mexico City now, I have to change my avatar, oopppsss, sorry.

See ya at Jets sobre Rio Verde, ok?

Best regards.

The boomerang XL has a large diameter and small diameter spar tube, I bought the smaller diameter one from Patricia in TX.

I`m sure having a BLAST

Hope to fly again with it coming wednesday to train a little more for my firt jetmeeting coming sunday.

Here in the Netherlands there`s a new Formost flyer, his plane is powered by a JetJoe with 11 lbs of thrust, the dry weight is around 15 lbs.
No retracts, no brakes, only the turbine kit and the wing modification.

As flaps he mixed the ailerons WITH the rudders going outwards

If you mention the red Formost from the other flyer then I can tell you that also fly`s ok.
Not as much speed and vertical power as mine with the P80 but enough to fly great.

But you have to keep it light and don`t install all the extra features I have.

I also must tell he is using a JetJoe 1400 but that turbines are not so great and after some own maintenance he`s got only 11 lbs of thrust.

That`s correct, I fly most of the time only with half gas, even less is possible.

But sometimes you have to fly a hole in the sky, then it`s nice to come across the flight line with full power (117.000 rpm) and pull straight up at the end of the runway [8D]

i agree that. But first flights so difficult to control airspeed.Full power P80 is too much for formost frame.

Don`t hope so, I`ve made several flights now with full power and some nice pull ups, but my airframe is completly modified.

As out of the box it would be to much for the airframe......

Bosmodelair, so with the JJ1400 the only mod was the wooden package and fixed gear ?

Did he reinforce the wing ? LG mount ?

He only installed the wooden fuselage kit, modified the wing spar and installed the wing ribs.
He didn`t installed the wing spar webbing and the gear mounts.

The original landing gear mount broke during the second landing, it`s fixed with glue but it don`t last long as it is.

I will see his Formost coming sunday in real live and then we can compare the flight behavior, but I`m glad I`ve modified the whole plane with all the extra`s I`ve build in

Just performed a grouns run and all is OK, nothing that pointed out why the last flight there was a flame out.

Will do some flying again really soon I hope

Manual Off ?!?!?!?!?

Allthought I didn`t do anything and the turbine switch was still in the on position.

My guess now is that the aux. plug in the reciever was intermittent that`s fixed and I will see what happen next flight [8D]

Last sunday I went to a jetmeeting here in the Netherlands.

Weather was great and I had a wonderfull time.

Made 4 flights in total and didn`t got a flame out.

Here a small video of my first flight on that day on a unknown field:
[link=http://www.***************/video/2009/jet4.wmv]Modified Formost flight 1 on the meeting flight nr 8 total[/link]

And here some pictures of the fellow flyers:

Bosmodelair, where did you get the puch scale shown in the end of the vid to check thrust ? i have exactly the same one (looks identical!) but it works in a pull, not push.
