Can't really tell what size you need from the picture, but if you pull the conductor out of electrical wiring, you can have just about any size or color tubing you can imagine. It will even withstand pressure so that it can be used for brake lines in places where regular air line might be too big.

Dennis,
I am actually looking for the spiral PVC hose and not the a plain black tube that is wrapped around the gray hose. It's like the hose of a vacuum cleaner.

For that, I've used sections of flexible drinking straws carefully glued together and painted. This probably isn't the answer you were looking for either, but it is convincing when finished.

I have made it before, it is pretty simple bu t complex to explain! If you can find a video of the Combat Models F-16, it explains how to make a mold that will five you the desired effect. Email me for more details, I can try to talk you through it.

RE: Scale Miniature hose/tubing
Todd,
I was on the same path as your suggestion. Last night I startd to wrap soft/ thin solder around glow fuel tubing and painted it grey. It looks nice but bending takes away the look. So I started looking for ways to use spring and picked up a bunch of different sizes from the hardware store. Never really got a chance to think of way to put a sleeve on it and shot my question out on RCU.
I am glad you replied to my post and saved me from racking my brains.[&o] The only bad part is the weight and tight bends. But I will experiment with different springs to see how it goes. Thanks
Chris
I will look for the video and if I cant find it out, I will PM you.
If anyone has any better ideas please continue to post. Ideally a source that can supply the plastic pipe/hose.
Thanks
