Hello to our friends, customers and readers. . .

Many have requested pictures from the factory. During my recent visit to our facility, a photo pictorial was assembled. Here is, for your viewing pleasure, the Jet Central Manufacturing facility, production equipment and the Team of individuals headed up by Felipe Nieto (Yellow shirt) and to his left shoulder, Juan Ruiz, engineer and facility manager. Enjoy. . .

Nice pics. Thanks for sharing them. I do a lot of manufacturing tours. Your plant looks immaculent!. I noticed all the razor wire outside. In case the natives get restless?

Sonnich:

As most in the turbine industry know, the Merlin and soon to be introduced M-90 are a joint effort between our two companies.
The Merlin / Rhino and soon to be released M90 and Rabbit share parts manufactured by both companies. Our two companies while similar have differences as well. Our goals and objectives however, are joined and fine tuned for total success. You, our customer are what we focus on. Your total satisfaction with our products is the very reason for our existance.

No, the turbines are not manufactured in the same facility.

Thanks for your inquiry !

Andy:

Thank you. . .Razor wire . . .you are observant!

Actually, we purchased the property next to our existing facility. Demolition has begun. Razor wire on top of the cyclone fence is additional security to keep the construction group from setting foot on the plant property. Once complete, the fence comes down and the two become one ! Good eyes my friend.

Nice equipment.

Hey Eric,

Awesome facility. Felipe obviously has precision, productivity, and organization down to a science. Talk about OCD.

I would be curious if they were ISO 9000. That is a huge benefit as it relates to bringing the market consistant quality product, IMO.

Andy:

Yes, we are ISO 9000 certified and have been for the past 5 years. This we are as proud of as we are each and every turbine we produce. This certification is also printed on every brochure.

Any and all questions are welcome and will be answered.

Eric,
The Bee and Falcon arrived yesterday, and the quality and attention to detail is amazing.
Brett my mechanic even stated that it was better than he sees on some of the full size conterparts.

Regards,
Rob

Alex:

Remember, we are always trying to be inovative. Our goal is to introduce the Rabbit with both internal and external glow plug. . .an industry first. Let me explain:

Our concern was/is with the internal glow plug we are presented with a dilemma. If the internal glow plug element should fail, what does the pilot do. We asked ourselves this question. Answer is it has to be removed and have factory service. My suggestion was to offer both ! We ship the Rabbit with the internal element and already set up for the external element with a machined polished insert in the glow plug hole. The internal glow is set up to operate on the Kero start software. If the internal plug fails, the pilot simply confirms, takes from his parts box, the glow plug wiring harness and glow plug. He removes the insert, installs the glow plug completes the wiring and switches to the glow plug program in the ECU. In less than 20 minutes, our customer with the failed element is back in the air.
Yes, I am excited about this. Our experience with Kero start element is less than acceptable life. We are using a similar element. Although tests are very good, we do not want to have unhappy customers who cannot fly.
Thanks for your question. . .

Best regards,
Eric Clapp

Wow, that sounds great. There was another thread on RCU of another mfr's new turbine with an internal kero burner which requires the engine to be sent back if it fails. My first experience with kero start was far from positive and I would be very leary of having a non user replaceable kero igniter in my next turbine. This approach is the best of both worlds. Kudos Eric.
