Default Gluing wing fences

Hi guys:

I am finishing my SM Hawk, and I want to know what do you guy do to glue the wing fences on the wing, so that they stay relatively secure and don´t break off. Do you use cyano, hysol? Do you make a notch in the wing with the outline of the wing fence and then glue then on?

The wing fences that come with the kit don´t have any tabs, so just gluing then does not seem very secure to me, unless I use a lot of glue and make a big fillet, and that would not look pretty. Should I make new fences with tab on top and bottom?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

The real Hawk has a big weld fillet too, outboard, so use Hysol ! No need to notch the wing.

I used clear silicon. Secure but flexes enough to prevent them from being knocked off in the car or garage. Hopefully I'll get to test fly this weekend.

Just busy doing the same on My Carf Mig 15,

Just sand down the gelcoat,

Tack glue de fence with CA,

And use Hysol to make a nice fillet (both sides in this case),

Similar job on a Mig15 I built a while back - tack with CA and fillet with Hysol.
