Default Global Jet /JL CT114 SNOW BIRD FORMATION

Check it out. We just finished up some CT-114 ARF PRO SNOW BIRDS and took it out for a sun tan before shipping them north for our Canadian pilots.

We had modified the original JL CT-114 and upgrade to our ARF PRO standard with all gear, flaps installation, and carbon fiber reinforcement.

Can't wait to see these birds airborne.

I am currently assembling one of these, exactly what did you reinforce with carbon fiber, and did make any other changes?

One of our club members has been flying one of these with a P-70. Perfect size motor. Very docile in all flight regimes. He did add a shim to the nose retract to correct a slightly negative stance which caused it to jump off. Now lifts off quickly and smoothly. He has not installed the gear doors. Easy build in a week. He did add 2 extra 12 oz Dubro tanks lateral to the pipe (plenty of room away from the pipe)

He just got the cockpit kit which is awesome.

You are gonna love this Bird Dean.

Here are some photos of the upgrades,

We add aluminum inserts on the carbon fiber wing spars
Add single piece carbon fiber sheet around the nose bulkhead
trim all gear doors to make them fit
Add a single piece carbon fiber sheet in the engine bay area for heat resistance and improve rigidity for larger engine.

Custom - painted outside the mold paint with water transfer decals so there are no seam lines.

Mike

I must admit to being slightly confused by your website. Is the Global Jet Club ARF Pro CT 114 an improved JL kit? Are you also selling a standard JL CT114 ? Am I correct in reading that the ARF Pro is $2,250 and the JL $1,660? and the Pro version can have a discount of 20% and the JL 10%? Sorry, it may just be me but I find all of this a bit complicated. The model looks very nice though!

Best regards

John

Same questions I have, Mike. Also what is your delivery time on the Snowbird scheme ARF PRO and how long before the camo scheme will be available?

John,
The Pro version may be all the gear doors and retracts installed, and I know they are also offering hinging of the control surfaces and servo installation as well. I purchased a JLT-45 thru Mike a few months ago and the experience was great. They offer good communication and the work they did was fine. Mine was nicely painted and the kit included bottles of all four colors of touchup paint. I know you can get free shipping if you don't take the discount, at least here in the US, but I am sure Mike will be along and explain all of it to you.

ORIGINAL: DocYates
the kit included bottles of all four colors of touchup paint.
I wish more manufacturers would do that for their pre-painted ARFs

Hi John,

Yes, it's an upgraded JL CT-114. No more seam lines or misfitted parts. There are a lot of upgrades that we did to make them a few notches above the regular JL.

Send me a PM or email so I can show you more details on these upgrades.

Thanks,

Mike
