Default Boeing 787-8 "Dreamliner" in 3D

Another 3D project, which jet fans might enjoy, the Boeing 787-8 "Dreamliner".

Here are a couple of images, and if you would like to follow along with the article, it's at http://www.mikejamesmedia.com/b787_8_01.html

When is this thing going to progress from a 3D 'dream' into a product the airlines can buy? A lot of people bagged the A380 for it's delays, I won't say what country most of them come from. Now, unsurprisingly, they are very quiet. - John.

Hi Paul,

Long time since we spoke last. Email me sometime and let me know what you're up to. I'm sure it's spectacular, whatever it is. I'm not doing fabrication any more, but am starting to make some headway in the 3D world. These new tools make it sooooo much more fun, and more precise.

Boomerang1:

I've been doing a little research, to help me build a more accurate 3D model, and at Boeing's site, they say "early 2009". They also list a lot of companies who have already placed orders. I think all aviation fans want to see the "latest thing" get airborne. But personally, I'm fine with the idea that they get it right, as much as possible, before they start flying it around with any known issues. It's got a huge amount of composites, (50%) which is more than any other commercial airliner. (If you ever find that you have a tough time buying carbon fiber, blame Boeing.)

Ok... Back to the 3D model, for me. Take care, everybody.
