Default Shok's FlyEagle 1/7th L-39

It finally arrived last night .

I was thinking of doing a build thread if anyone is interested.

This is the 1/7th in green camo version.

Wingspan is 54 inches
length is 71 inches
Weight should be around 20lbs

I will be using a JetCat P-70 which should be perfect for this plane.
Radio will be a JR 9303 2.4

Sorry, these are the only photos Limeybob shot over last night.
Plan to get much more later on.

Shok,
I ordered the 1/5.5 scale one December 1st and it appears that I MIGHT have it by March. How long did it take for you to receive it from the time you ordered it?

Here are a few pics.

This thing looks great.
Paint is excellent.

Quality feels good. Glass work and glue joints look very well done.

I think I found a tiny mistake, nothing major.
Looks like they made the plug with one intake slightly off center.

Thats all I got for now.
Put it back in the box for the moment. I need to order servos and stuff before I get started.

If anyone wants a closeup pic, let me know and I will see what I can do.

Nice to see this thread; I ordered one of these in blue camo just after New Years.

Let us know when you get to try the door cylinders to see if they hold air better than some have reported in the past.

Is the wing span 71" or 54"?? On Fly Eagle website it has it as the Wingspan as 54" and length as 71"? Would a P80 fit?? How much is shipping?
Thanks!

you are right.

I did a quick rough measure of parts.
The nose section is around 30 inches and the fuse is around 38, although I eyeballed the tape measure from the box.

So yeah I can see 71

Each wing panel is measuring 23 inches so add the width of the fuse and I see 54

I aired down the doors and gear.

No leaks detected so far.

The gear is very well made, strong. The springs seem like they could be stronger. We will see after it's sitting under it's weight.
