Hi Xairflyer
Here you have pictures of the fluid control of my JJ1200 with
- the S070B for gas
- the V114A for fuel
- and the MTH pump
this is a single package to hold in place with 2 screws
On this site you can download a PDF for SMC valves

Hi chichisport
For spanish you can go to

Hello and good morning,

yesterday I tried again to start ther turbine.
I assembled the glow plug and when I switched on the FADEC there was the message again: COOLING and the temperature was nearly 300°C.
I dissassembled the glow plug and the ambient temperature was displayed.
There is a short circuit between the negativ glow plug wire and the temperature sensor.
It is not the original one, it is a custom made one.
So do you have any suggestions how to solve this problem?
To isolate the sensor is impossible - the only solution is to make the hole in exhaust a little bigger and then hope therewon`t be ashort circuit again
but this is not a acceptable solution....

I am going crazy with this turbine....

Greetings Fabian

Fabian,

Sounds like you have a faulty ground int he temp sensor, shorted to the sensor case it self. replace the temp sensor is thats the case.

Hello,

I have just talked to the electronic experts here in the factory and theytold methe same.
Now I have a new sensor and will try again this evening....
Hope it will work.
And maybe one day the turbine is running :-)

Greetings and thank you!

Fabien

I wouldn't bother with the automatic glow anyway. Try in manual mode so dont plug the glow plug lead into the ECU and when the display show 'Ready' just put a normal glow clip on and light the gas once it reaches 100 deg it will show 'Fuel Ramp' and away you go. Hold the blower on until 70k

Jason,

In my case, I noticed when the rpm reaches between 30k to 50k , the rpm progresses very slow, sometimes halt for a while then slowly increase again. What parameter can I adjust?

I don't have an ECU here and I can't remember what the parameter is termed as but it something like "Fuel ramp" or Start ramp" I'd put it up two and try again.
It's not the pump start voltage which is termed as "Auto + #"

Hi Seravios,
To increase the "ramp to idle" speed, you can adjust a few things, firstly the "pump ramp", a nice quick start can be achieved by increasing this parameter to 006, in some cases 008 is usefull. Also in the sub-menu, (parameters 028, 029 and 030), set 028 to 003, set 029 to 001 and set 030 to 003, this can help greatly with the ramping sequence up to idle. Of course a lot depends on how good the fuel pump is at very low voltages. The new J-200 fuel pumps are actually quite good which is a nice surprise. Adjust the pre-heat parameter to 4 secs.

As Jason has correctly mentioned, keep the blower on until the rpm's reach at least 70k, the engine will only self sustain above ~64-65k.

It's better to have a relatively quick warm start and ramp to idle, rather than a long hot one.

If you would like a full set of Junior parameters, let me know and I'll organise to send you a set.

All the best,
Smithy.

Hi

I have nearly finished my own desgin of micro turbine, It uses a 40mm compressor and a2 stage diffuser.

I will start to test the engine in the next couple of weeks, fingers crossed.

Hi

The rotor assembley is off a small car turbo rated to 211,000 rpm so I know that it is balanced to a high standard and will take the speed of the shaft.

Cheers

Here is a photo of the tunnel/rotor/diffuser assy, this was a single stage diffuser I made from hand, just as a quick experiment, but I really wanted it to have a 2 stage diffuser, so I had one machined.

Correct me if I am wrong but the j-junior only uses a 1 stage diffuser?

Thanks

The vortex32 with Lambert turbine.

Are you going to fit a cover over the engine? I know the supplied plastic one won't do but I considered making one out of mesh and painting it white.
