Hi Folks....

I recently aquired a Top Gun Interceptor in kit form. Kit is apparently about 6 years old.

Wings are sheeted nicely, and it came with plans and the laser cut wood kit. It has been about 10 years since I built my last jet, and the deal was good... I figured it would be fun to get it in the air. Maybe use it to get qualified for a turbine waiver.

Looks pretty straight forward, but I was wondering if TGA had supplied writen instructions, or just the plans.

Anyone out there have an instruction sheet/book/manual for the plane?

All that comes with the Interceptor is the plans, It is a builders kit. Not for the novice builder OR pilot. It is really fast with an OS 91 and a Dynamax or Ramtec. Good Jet, have fun.

I figured it was worth asking.

It is a straight forward project, should not pose a problem.

Looks like a nice Jet. I would imagine the performance will be similar to my old Sport Shark and Viper.

I have an OS91, Dynamax and the TGA pipe for installation. I just have to round up the hatch hardware and a starter wand.

Now I just need about a month of wife/child/work free evenings

Hey, one quick question.... it was not clear on the plans.. or I missed it...

The root of the wing where it mates with the fuselage/spar.....

Is there suppose to be a balsa or ply cap over the foam to help support the spar as it enters the foam core ?? Or is the wing installed with open foam at this joint?

I have built aircraft both ways before... just wondering which is appropriate here.

I always add some lumber above and below the spar. I also add a layer of 4 oz glass 2 in wide above and below where the spars enter the wings. Altho I am making plug in wings on my new one, with aluminium spars. still use the extra glass cloth. just piece of mind. lol.
