Default Hot Spot JetCat P80 turbine mount?

I am helping a buddy with a Hot Spot assembly and as I understand it there was a special turbine mount to install a JetCat P80 to the fuselage. I have a stock P80 mount and I want to know what the difference between the stock and the custom mount that was available for the Hot Spot? Or, if anyone knows where I can get the special mount, that would help also. JetCat doesn't have any left. Or, is there a way to modify the stock mount for use?

Thanks,

Wayne

The special mount is what they called the Kangaroo mount, it attaches to the airframe from the bottom i.e. no side lugs, I had trouble getting hold of one, but eventually found one in stock in Holland, keep searching on Google, if I remember correctly JetCat US did have one some time ago and so did Dreamworks, but as they are US I could not use them.

Hope that helps.

There was a special mount and it is different to the original one that comes with the engine. It is also coloured purple. It is not a big job to modify the original but it does not look as neat. Paul.

The Hotspot mount has side lugs. It's anodised purple and I bought one last November from jetline in the UK, I tried to find one everywhere and that was the only place that had them in stock

What is the difference between the stock JetCat mount and the Jetline mount shown above? It looks like the JetCat mount except for the color. Is the thrust line different?

Thanks for all the info.

Hello:

I think that you only need increase the height of the turbine with your mount 3 or 4mm, because the nuts hit the fuselage.

Regards from Spain.

Carlos.
