Default F-4D Nose?

Hey, Been looking around trying to figure out if the Nose on a block D Phantom is the same of say a Skymaster block C model? Maybe somone can chime in..

I always understood the extenal clue to be the addition of the angular fairing at the lower rear of the under-chin fairing. It is absent on the F-4C and thus distinguishes the F-4D from the C.

Yep, you are correct. D model very different than C model chin fairing.

Duh, Yea I see it now... Wonder if thats something that could be molded into and made into a D nose or is the pod itself different aswell.

Tommy, Wish I was back, still over here in the heat and dirt counting the days... Just trying to toss around some ideas for a new project, the only two birds I have interest in require modding lol... go figure..
