Default Feibao F14

Looks like an improvement over the Flyeagle F14 version.

Now you can add an afterburner ring.

spoilers outlines aren't even close, the slats are supposed to be tapered and the rudders are missing a few minor details. Its mostly only the "detail" stuff someone who's completely crazed over the F-14 would notice. When i inquired price was around $5k w/ all the options.

From what i was told when i inquired about it (a month ago) the prototype was sent off to jetpower 09 and would be undergoing flight tests when it returned.. I believe it was catherine who responded to my inquiries.

nothing that i know of... maybe they'll take the time and respond to this thread to give their customers some info on the tomkitty... I had strongly considered scrapping my scratch build for this tomcat, but after seeing the close up pictures of the details, i'll keep doing what i'm doing..

i think this is too many spoilers. How many servos on two wings? 12 servos, 14 servos or 16 servos?

if dont correctly, all 4 spoilers on an F-14 should be able to be done with 1 servo. with the non-scale spoilers in the photo's, i dont believe it is possible. so i'm going to say they have atleast 2 servo's for the spoilers, 2 for the slats and 2 for the flaps. So 6 servo's total. Granted the spoilers would probably be fine using a pair of HS81MG's or similar since the deflection required isn't alot.

This may become my third twin.

We'll have to see how the test flights go and what the videos look like.

Thomas, send them your suggestions and see if you can get them to "tweak" it more scale?

George

I looked at the FB F-14 at JetPower 09 and also the FEJ one. The FB one had the makings of being a nice model if not exactly scale (but then the FEJ one isn't either). However, the FB one was certainly not the finished article. The slats where just a single thickness of glass cloth for example, and nothing in the way of swing wing mechanism to be seen under the hatch. This prototype wouldn't not be flying without quite a bit more work. A bit bigger than the FEJ one too and it will be nice when it is done. But it was the FEj one that I bought.
I can't see how there can be too many F14's. Best looking American jet ever.
