Additionally, adding a pipe reduces the thrust.........
Not if its a Wrenn turbine on its own pipe.

Mike
i thought any turbine when it placed internally with thrust tube will eventually looses small amount of thrust. Correct me if I am wrong.
As I understand it, the Wrenn pipe increases thrust on the Wrenn turbine, have a look on the Wrenn site.

Only one 'n' please, Mike, we're WREN!

Some years ago John Wright, editor of RCJI, did some research on pipe design and found that a divergent pipe - where the diameter gets larger - actually increased thrust. All our pipes have this feature and can be used with any make of turbine - although we'd prefer you to use a Wren, of course...

Check out http://www.windrider.com.hk/index.asp

They have a little 40" span BD-5J that might be cool for the P20.

Intairco has an announcement, saying about Aus$ 3100? US$2800????   What would you use it for? Don't tell me. It's going to go into rubber powered free flight, right? Ancient, very near death, Cliff

Last note from Max (before he left JetCat a week ago, very sad, he was a great guy ) was beginning of July, he advised me to do a preorder if I needed one (or two) as the first ones are already sold out

Did max leave? That's sad - he always was very helpful! That might explain why I didn't get the quote for the P-20's
