I put 5 flights on the f-16 this past weekend and the pipe from UKR-Jets is perfect. No ripples, bubbles, no discoloration. It seems to be holding up well. Plus the thrust is good. I will report results of the next flights when completed.

Was the visibility as poor as it looked on the video clip? I totally lost the plane when you turned base and didn't see it again until you flared for landing. Glad you got the pipe thing worked out.
Hope it will be better on Wednesday. Are you going to be able to make it?

It was kinda dark that day. Mostly though its the fault of that camera. Its a point an shoot still camera with video. The video isn't real good on fast moving targets. Takes great vid close up but not so good far away. I'm trying to free up my schedule for Wed. The trailer is loaded and ready to go.

Not really, It was showing a little wear. Much more wear than this pipe has shown after a similar amount of flights. After my pipe issue with my F18 Alex offered to make me a new pipe so I sent him the SM pipe to see their work. So far its been quite impressive.

I'm pipe shy now. Hes making another one for my SM F4 Phantom. Hopefully it will ship soon and I will begin to test it and report the results. In that situation, there was evident wear on the pipe. It had had a few wet starts on it though.

Why not just order from Tam? He makes the best pipes around and you don't have to deal with customs and import???

Plus, you don't have to be the tester. His products are proven and working 100%

I love Tams pipes. UKR offered to GIVE me a free pipe if I would test it for him. Moreover, they did this as an extremely nice gesture to me after losing my F18 from a pipe failure. It doesn't hurt to have multiple, reputable pipe vendors around to order from. Plus, from what I am seeing with this pipe so far its rock solid. Not a ripple in it after 9 flights. I think these guys are on to something here.

Its good to have a choice, and a little healthy competition. Its important to note that the UKR pipes are laser welded their entire length, in addition to spot welds so this thing should be as bullet proof as you can get - I don't think even with import tax that they are more expensive than Tams units.
Available now as well are bifurcated pipes built the same way....
