how to align turbine and tail pipe accurately
Hello and happy new year!
Is there any particular method other than eye balling setup to align perfectly turbine and tail pipe?
I am installing a New Rabit in my Cermark F-16 and first impression is that turbine needs some shimming under front bracket to align with tail pipe.
Appreciate if anyone could share their methods.
Best regards,

If you wish to establish very precisely Pipes and the turbine, you can make as I do....
The laser will not allow to you exact (very exact) to establish Pipes and the turbine.

You guys have come up with some very impressive pipe centering systems here. They clearly show a lot of attention to detail. If you guys could comment on a question I have - is there anything materially wrong with just using a finely graduated ruler measured up against the mounted turbine tailcone, to reference the correct placement of the pipe bellmouth inlet? That is what I've done in the past with good results, so far as I know to base "good results" on at least.

I run a laser line down the center of the aircraft, making sure the nose cone and the center of the vertical fin run through the laser line. With this set up, it is very easy to get the turbine lined up left and right. Getting it set up vertically is a bit tougher with all the multiple reflections from inside the pipe, but it can be done....
I like the jig set up, but would make the rod about 30" long and put a circular plug at the front and back of the exhaust pipe, then you would get it perfect. (might be harder with a bifurcated pipe though....)

Thanks allfor sharing your methods, i guess it all comes back to the extent of precision required in one's setup, the neater the more accurate and precise installation is targeted.
Will have to find a compromise between precision and practicality in my install.
Best regards.
