Default Super Hornet Aggressor schemes

Here are a few pics of the brown and blue camo shemes on the super hornets... I am just wondering if there is going to be a blue camo F model

That must be recent. The Prowler only painted the tail like that in the last 8-9 months.

Nice shots of those NLC hornets, especially over half dome.

Unless you have the eyes of an Eagle, you really don't want to do that blue camo scheme! Had a Sukhoi in that type blue camo. Guess what? It works!! From the ground, against a blue sky, that pattern disappears! There's a reason they do those type of color schemes, and that one really works. It completely breaks up the outline.

David, How about the desert camo one on blue sky? I'm considering this one for my new Tams that I'm getting built.

Andy,

The desert camo is better, because the colors contrast. I've had three camo birds. A Euro in a grey camo, the Sukhoi in the blue camo, and an F-4 in the SEA green camo. The F-4 is no problem seeing, but I'd never do another grey or blue, especially the blue camo, again! Those planes would just disappear at times, and I was always somewhat uncomfortable flying them, because of the extra level of concentration needed to make sure I didn't lose it.

Hey guys, I am a superhornet WSO currently stationed with VFA-122 and the blue and brown super hornets aren't part of aggressors squadrons. they are just painted that way. they are also the oldest E and F superhornets. The F is configured as a dual cockpit for pilot training. I actually did a flight in the brown Superhornet two weeks ago.

I've owned several camo birds, in fact I still own them and love flying them. I thought long and hard about a blue camo bird for my last project but decided to go with a four color green and brown. If you are flying in mostly wide open sky, the green and brown sticks out like a sore thumb and is dead easy to see. If you were looking at it from above you'd hate it, but from below in a RC perspective it stands way out and gives the nice look in the pits and the easy spot in the sky. For me the typical gray over gray camo like most modern jets are hard to see especially in overcast days from below. That's where the green and brown camo is super easy to see. The one time I find camo can blend in is when you are flying below the treeline or below a mountain backdrop, far out. But if you keep it close in when you know you will be masked by natural backdrop, it's a piece of cake. Add some ordinance and your ability to see goes way up, although your flight time will drop!!

Camo works. My YA Raptor disappears every flight. I know where it is and where it will be in few seconds so it hasn't been a problem. Camo jets require more concentration than brightly colored schemes. Guys always ask me why my Mig is in the scheme it is...I can see it.

Gray on gray baby... works like a champ! Some of the camo birds like aggressors with obvious color changes in the patterns and even small bright color splashes look good and are also a lot easier to see than all gray tone airplanes.

My A-4 aggressor stands out in the sky like a soar thumb (thankfully), as I'm looking at it from below. If I was fighting it from another airplane I think it would be really hard to see from the side or above if it were in background clutter, however. Fortunately from the pilot station by the runway it's pretty easy to see.
