Default JetCat Strap-on

Stumbled across this in a magazine at work. Similar to those jet packs with wings except this one is solely intended to change the glide slope of a paratropper.

Seems JetCat is finding some other ways to help pay the bills. [8D]

Wouldn´t be easier stay a little longer in the airplane before jumping? [sm=confused.gif]

The idea is to get the soldier into territory that the drop aircraft can't fly over.

Even a 10:1 ratio from 11k would put the soldier 20 miles across a border.

You've gotta think outside the box a bit. Maybe you wanted to get someone into an airspace where an aircraft would easily be detected...

Well I just figured it would be a picture of a P-160 or something. I didn't even figure one of those needed a "strap" to be a "strap on", per se

I thought of it, but even so it doesn´t makes much sense: Ok. it glides at 23:1 but for how long, presuming how thirsty a turbine is and how little fuel the strap could carry?

The extra range this jet pack gives for a jumper is irrelevant for any defense system.. the aircraft will be detected anyway.

p.s. not to mention the dead extra weight... what will you prefer, land in hostile territory with model turbine strapped on you or having weapons and amunition?

Well, just look at it this way, it's your tax dollars at work supporting a manufacture that we'd all be very sad they were gone if they ended up going under :P

Good news for the modellers in any country they invade, I'm sure they won't be carrying it around once they land. - John.

Great idea! So if you see a parachutist that sounds like a turbine, FOLLOW HIM! you're likely to be rewarded! [sm=tongue_smile.gif]
