That sucks. I was looking forward to your review of this model.

Really ? Thanks, I am flattered ! [8D]
There wouldn't be much to write about, there is a CD coming with it with some 30 snapshots, and other than installing the radio and drilling a few holes for the turbine bolts, there seems to be very little to do on this one.
Maybe the choice of the PET bottle as a fuel tank would be the biggest creativity challenge here

To kill your time a bit (and mine !), I could add here some of the photos from the CD perhaps ?

The canopy...
Note that on the demo model, everything seems to be carbon fibre ; the commercial kit is made with fiberglass.
My canopy is mat black painted fiberglass, hence without the exquisite carbon looks of the first ones. (like on these photos in attachment)

Wow the nose is empty! usually you would need to put everything up front to ballance the plane. Will be intresting to se how yours come out. Even with a broken wing you can put it on the scales and se how much it weighs in at IRL.
Now whos going for the MW44 or larger engine? With the accesories that far back it's certanly doable with a heavier engine in the back.

With a Wren44 ? No that would be rather idiot. That turbine is too large in diameter and would not fit at all... not even talking about the weight.
Even the JetCat P20 is just a bit too large (watch the photos of Airworld carefully) but still does fit.
In my opinion, the P20 is just a tad too heavy for perfection too, so I think the best bet today is one of the Lambert Kolibris T25 / T25HPs.
I saw the first prototype flying at the Kolibri Treffen in Germany in April 2009, and such a plane was causing to many a 'love at first sight'.
But... there were only Kolibris T32 at that time with some 1,5-1,77 kgrs of thrust, which was too little for this size.
I need to sell one of mine and get a T25 / T25HP
!
Or... wait and see if someone like JetsMunt comes up very soon with a nano 3,5 kgr thrust turbine.
The JetCat P20 with 2,4 kgr is just a bit too heavy for the given thrust.
But putting a Wren44 on the Skyrunner is like trying to fit a JetCat P60 on an Opus... taking all the thrills and fun out of it by making too many compromises to make it happen.
Just my 2c...

The German hospitality was not too bad either... (Maybe I missed one or two cakes in the little marquee, for which my apologies).

I read it but i guess that you fix the problem.
Is it so hard to fix it?It's fiberglass wing right?

Or God forbid a twin engine Opus
Or God forbid a twin engine Opus

But that option, I would not find stupid but exciting !
You will be very hard to beat. hehehehe
I might be going again to Kolibri Treffen 2013... but feel embarrassed that Martin Lambert is not replying to my SMS request for a quote for a T25HP... [

If no Kolibri, I am not going.

Sure, you would wait for three full months to receive your order, make full prepayment like I did, paid a full 115 euro (151 US$) for shipping from Germany, receive a brand new but broken full composite plane in a box with a wing with broken internal structure and a spoilt airfoil, accept it like it is and would start fixing it yourself ?

What else can you do now??
It will cost much more ,if you mess with return for replacement etc!
If i was you i was starting immediately! It's fiberglass structure,it's very easy to fix it!

LMAO !
Thank you for the golden advice, but I prefer the insurance of the courier to take care of the replacement/refund, and to wait to receive from Airworld in good condition what I have been ordering.
The another wait is the biggest frustration here.
I have opened the insurance file with them (GLS Belgium) already (hence the photos taken before and during the opening of the carton since it was obvious the content was crushed during transportation) and Airworld only has to confirm it since they are their customer as being the shipper and not me as the consignee in this door-to-door delivery.
Airworld have not responded yet, so I assume they are in the process of opening their Christmas presents too, and hopefully they enjoy theirs more than mine. Pun intended.
I am sure you belong to the 0,001% of the dream customers who would react like the way you do here on this forum.
Perhaps Airworld can send it to you afterwards ? For a full 869 euro ?
Sorry, but I could not resist, to react like this, on your utmost hilarious last post !
You seem you would nearly have appreciated such delivery.... !
But have a look, once again, to the totally crushed wing in post #22 and you will definitely change your mind.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year !
