Butch you are too bad. That 58 is badder. Lets not let on how Texas is. Playing Alan Jackson "Pop a Top" for you. Coming back bringin the 105 for y'all to check out. By they way, have a spare rear fuse and set of sheeted wings for you from the F-105. Yours free pay the shipping. Least I can do for fellow Texan.

Outside my dorm in college we had an old Frankenstein Thud named "Iron Butterfly." I always thought it was a cool plane. One thing I like about prop fighters over jets are the better nose art the WWI & WWII guys got away with. A good thing about the Thud are they had some that got away with the neat nose art too.

Examples (NC-17 rated around the air refueling port; beware):

Memphis Belle II and ***** Galore II:

U2 just saying for average size jet big. 80" fuse. Know Butch B1 big but for average joe with SUV still big. Most people don't want to have to drag trailer for planes although I have seen it at North Dallas flying field. Still is unique plane. Offer still good if anyone wants new rear fuse and set of sheeted wings for F-105 will send them for the price of shipping. Just trying to help out fellow modelers. Maybe order missing parts to finish up a F-105 cheap

My last jet kit build guys. Excedrin I need to buy stock in. Either that or drink more brandy. Damn what a headache. Know what it is to want to build ARF versus KIT. But be that as it may payoff is the ultimate payoff. Showing up with a handful of maybe Thuds you maybe have seen. Thats the payoff. ***** to build, yes. But as commercial said priceless. Use to get a kick out of building out their, who the hell are you and what the hell is that. Built an Hs-129. Dual nitro engine German plane. All planes came down and landed. People wanted to see a plane they have never seen fly. Field stopped. That play wowed them. Maybe I talk crap sorry and am not a stuck up guy but built warbirds, jets. Planes. Planes . Gentleman start your engines. That is what makes us us. What YOU bring to the table. Lost art maybe. But we need to bring the art back. What I have maybe your not cup of tea but make no mistake, when you come to flying field and I pull this big dog out you are going to go, hmmmm why didn't I think of that?

Long time no see. Had a few people wanting to know what happened to F-105. Well very well. Kit coming along nice to say the least. Found a few problems with CJM kit but trolls and people that emailed me negative crap. Thats what it was. Got pissed and decided build your own F-105. Figure out problems and maybe solutions to problems with plane, didn't care. Bottom dollar is only handful of people have built it cause.. Who knows. Bad builders? Bad design. Bottom dollar I have shown the design flaws and have addressed thos as such. But the Thud is the Thud. Nam era plane no matter how you slice it when you show up at flying field WILL BE and always will be just that. Impressive to say the least. Nobody but nobody has taken it on least ways show how really easy it is to build. But when you build it they will come that is our thing build it and they will come that was the thing years ago but I can assure you they WILL come. Difference between ARF and ... Put it this way. If I sold the plane on RCU when it is done, plane would be up for the highest bidder cause it is a one of a kind plane and was done by a pro and as such sometimes I see people that say they are but well you get picture.

You buy CJM best of luck you will need it. Figured out ins and outs but hope you the best of luck. One thing I saw, when you order plane tell Bruce Sanders like I did. Order the plane without sheeting and landing gear NOT installed.Save yourself grief. Landing gear blocks were not installed with our flying intentions on the fore front. But be that as at may F-105 still and will will always be Nam THE Nam jet. Up for a challenge?

Mine is ready to go. All 23 pounds of it. 80oz. wing loading. If I can fly it successfully I will need a stick of Beemans [sm=47_47.gif].

Still waiting for Muroc or El Mirage dry lakes to "dry out". Will need a scale 10,000ft to get it off.

All right John!! Great job. How did it fly? The gear looks really thin...small diameter.

"stick of Beemans" LOL Hope your J-75 is up to it!

The gear was spring air with 1/4 inch wires I was trying to shave some weight but as flexible as the mains still were I have since installed the CJM gear. THe mains are 9 inches long to give it the tall Thud look anyway it flew good but had to be flown in a scale manner I watched a lot of Nam videos to get somewhat of a feel to what the real Thuds could and could not do so I just flew it straight, low and fast as for landing you have to bring it in low flat and with a lot of power still on kind of similar to a F-18 or F-16 that is already nose high John

Beautiful bird is it not? I have the F modle from CJM. I have had it for about 3 years. Sad to say yours is further along then mine. I really like the pictures so far. They help me. I wish I was a better builder then I am but at 65 I'm as good as I'll get for the time I put in. Got any pictures of your wing stallation yet? Keep up the good work and keep us posted.
Thanks Robert

Here are some more pics I got the gear doors on it and working, the CJM gear installed and the pylons installed and also changed the squadron it seemed only fitting to model it after " the Polish Glider" I just need to make some TERs and bombs. I already have some drop tanks but they are not finished yet.

Awesome Thud. Sadly I had to sell my CJ Thud so I could move back to Dallas. Thud is my favorite and will build another one in the near future.
