The Mig is a SM with P-160 and a very nice custom paint job, a real credit to the owner! I'm also bringing a SM F15 and a self designed and built Macchi MB339 painted in the frecce tricolori, what Macchi have you got? Sqeeze the old girl in.....the more the merrier, It'll be a jet marathon!

Hey Dougy,
As you well know im super keen to get to Temora. Looking forward to some great flying and some quiet beers with you lads. Will be great to get your MB339 on tarmac for the first time 2 and fingers crossed getting the mig in the air. Bart are you happy with your mig? How does she fly?

Bart, the macchi looks really nice!!! I love the colours on her, I'm a tech on hornet's the macchi's were before my time but I have had a look at one up close, it was forgotten on a an obscure back street of the RAAF base. Did you scratch build yours? Ayrton, I'll be to busy flying... lol there will be plenty of picki's for sure.
Hey Levi, I cant wait for the beers either. Apparently having alcahol after 6pm is giving me bad sleep at night..............So I'v decided to give up sleep!

The Mig is sweet as. She has a P160 but I am down a little on power as the pipe was more designed for a 120 size.
VNE
The Macchi is not mine, it belongs to our local Guru Bob Bennetts. Bob was one of the first to fly turbines in Aus and that was with his first Macchi, all scratch built plugs & molds and powered by a JPX that ran on LPG and was started with a Scuba air tank (Airborne circa June 2000). The Macchi in the photo is his next gen version that is a heap lighter and powered with his version of a TJT3000. The scheme is the Chief of Air Force AM RG Funnell.
My building talent only extends as far as building my wallet only to empty it again!!!!!

No sleep for you Dougy. I got some spare cans of redbull for you mate. Bart i also have a p160. Hopefully power to weight will be sweet. She will be over 20kg wet though. Did you have to play around with the cg much? At the moment mines 218mm from leading edge wing root, header tank full gear down.

Here is a pick of mine, very similar in construction to Bobs. Although I did keep the intakes attached to the wing.

My CG is set at 215 (gear down header full) and it flies great. My dry weight is 15 kg but there is that much lift on the fuse I don't think they care.

RE: TEMORA 2010
Do you need to set the throttle end points to 75% after binding a 2.4 gig system (with fail safe set to 100%) for a jetcat ECU like you would do with a 36meg tranny? Or is the 2.4 RX going to look after a fail safe condition for the ECU?
Does that make sense??

RE: TEMORA 2010
Thanks Bart. The manual doesn't go into 2.4 set up. I suppose if the reciever decides to give up the ghost, the ECU will do it's thing before she ploughs in

RE: TEMORA 2010
Hi Levi,
You should enjoy Temora, looks like being a full house.
Hopefully I can get the SM A4 delivered inAussie colors before the event, and Jason Starkey can take down for everyone to have a look.
Its large, and flys great, like all scooters do.
Have a great weekend.

Hey Stu,
is that a high power EDF with a 100mm fan, like a ramtec or similar? a mate has a few foamies, but I didn't see any one out there with electric jets last year.
I'm keen to see it go!

RE: TEMORA 2010
Doug, it's the FeiBao P60 size F5E with my new 11 bladed 5kW 100mm fan, here's a (very bad!) video of its maiden flight:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6CYkwJm0f70&feature=player_embedded#!
I'm making new wings for it with flaps and ailerons, also using a better airfoil. The new wings are so much lighter than the old cricket bat construction ones that even with 2 servos in each panel the AUW is the same. I do need to get the wings finished and fly it before I go, though.
