RE: Skymaster T33 First flights
Hi Guys,
I am in the final stages of completion of my T-bird, but having problems with the canopy.
First, the opening air ram get stuck at both ends. This happens after the ram has been in either position for a while. I cannot get it to move using air and need to man handle it to start moving. I've asked SM to send me another one, which I'm sure they will do as their customer service has always been great.
Second, the fit of the canopy onto the fuselage is very tight, almost like the opening get shortened after the cockpit has been fitted. Any ideas?
Third, the canopy does not come down into the locking slots - with or without the cockpit fitted. It sits over to the one side, by +- 2mm. I guess the frame must be twisting the whole thing......might have to heat it a little.
Personally, I think the opening canopy is a waste of time. Might take out the air (if the replacement air ram still gives problems) and simply use the locking mechanism manually through the open nose door just for maintenance access.
Cheers,
Jan

Hello
I continue this thread because I would like to buy a T33. But I would like to make it scale to participate in F4C competition.
But before purchase the plane I would like to check the scale occuracy.
So I looking for pics of the skymaster T33 in front, side and bottom. I will check with pics of the real one to be sure to start with a good one.
If anybody have this type of pics could you share it?
Thanks a lot.
Regards.
