UP3 HELP!!!!
 

Having a little issue with this valve...Hoping someone might be able to help me or have a fix for it..Heres whats happening..

When the valve is put in the gear down position there is a streaming hiss coming out of the hole in the picture. I have tried moving it by hand to get it to where the gear goes down but it is in that only spot..The leak will drain the whole system...Any help would be appreciated...

You are having a blow-by( air from the reservoir is flowing past an o-ring instead of pushing a plunger), you need to remove the secondary plunger and re-grease the internal o-rings, the instructions Todd directed you to tell you how to do this and what grease (critical) to use, you need to be careful not to gouge the internal cylinder bore when you remove the plunger.

I spoke with UP today about the same issue. You have a leaking gear cylinder. When the gear is down under pressure, clamp off airline on the unpressurized side of each cylinder and when one that you clamp stops the leak, you have found the offending cylinder.

FYI:

While a leaking gear cylinder may be a possible cause, it's not always the case, if you see that once pressure goes down, the valve seems to work, it's blow-by, you have to check both valve and gear cylinders. You can use BVM o-ring lube or RC car diff silicon oil to seal the gear cylinder o-rings: DO NOT use petroleum based lubricants to do this, you'll ruin the o-rings

The exhaust port you point out will also put out air from a cylinder(s) (gear or door) when operating, the adjustment screws control the rate of air flow out, that's how the valve delays action, once there is no pressure on the "open" side of a cylinder, the plunger inside the valve moves to execute the next sequence. The valve uses the principle of pressure differential(inside the valve and on the gear or door cylinders) to sequence the moves.

Those instructions worked like a charm...I pinched the line at the valve and it stopped the leak..It was one of the main retract cylinders. Pulled the right wing off and pinched both lines, it was still going. Took the left wing off, pinched the down line and it stopped the leak. Lubed it with the BVM lube ..no more leak. Retracts, doors, everything works perfect...Thanks for all the help, just saved me some hours of frustration...:D
