RE: wing loading
What is the 144 inch rule?
|
RE: wing loading
Hi,
Wing loading is calculated in oz/sq feet. So you need to devide the sq inches by 144 to get sq feet. The f18 for electric or turbine... Regards Morne |

RE: wing loading
I believe the 144" rule (last I heard it's 140") is the wingspan and length of the fusalage combined for IMAA legal aircraft. Jets/DF only.
... unless there is an actual 144" rule that I'm not aware of . :) |

RE: wing loading
A.) The 144" inch rule is quite long and cumbersome - it has the length of 4 yardsticks. The yardsticks are much more convenient to use. :D
B.) The IMAA minimum size for a jet is actually 140", so you now have an extra 4" to spare. [8D] |
