Electra Retracts

Hi guys. I know the Electra kit shows installation of the mechanical retracts in the built up wings. Is it possible to use the Air Blue retracts in the kit version?

Thanks in advance

Cool......no modifications needed? Just wanna make sure because I didn't want to have to do a bunch of mods or compromise the wing's structural integrity to fit them in there. I know the kit calls for the mechanical retracts but I've been informed they have a tendency to bend on landing. I really like the idea of no air though...[&o]

The only difference is the mains retract hatch and gear doors but no mods needed.

I have the mechanical retracts in my Electra and have flown it a bit from our grass site, never bent anything!

You can convert the mechanical retracts to air easy enough. You just need 3 cylinders and a little work. Basicly the way you used to do with BVs old kits.

Both version use the SAME wire leg, so im not sure what " tends to bend" means. Down and locked may be your answer to a No Air system. The air blue is a much more robust setup than the mechanical units and they lock in both directions.
