Help...
Hey,
What's your favorite method for de-warping balsa wood? Actually, to be more specific, it's balsa-sheeted foam. The temp changes around here got to a couple of ailerons and now they're bowed. I tried setting some weight on them, but no change. I can't be the first guy.... |

You can try a 50/50 mix of ammonia & water. Wet out the side opposite the warp and weight the ends down while supporting the middle. What you want is to actually overweight the ends so as to create a slight bow opposite of the bow that is there now. Leave & let dry, remove the weight and see what you have. Short of cutting into the aileron, this is about the only option.
