BVM Clunk Line

Hi Guys.
I am using this for the first time inside my tanks. With Tygon. I plan to leave the clunk about a 1/2" from the back of the tank. I figure after the Tygon grows, It will be within 1/4" of the back of the tank.

How much will the BVM line grow? How far from the back of the tank would you put the clunk in a new install? 1/2"?

Thanks!
Dom

Hi Dom
I am not at home right now to check my notes but I think about 1/4" sounds right for the kingcat length pickup.

It looks like your tanks are not longer than the kingcat tanks from what I can see.

Has anyone ever experimented with doing the clunk line like they do for a 3D gasser heli?
The clunk line is 1.5 times the length of the tank so that the clunk can get to anywhere in the tank including right into all of the corners.

every time i've had a line too long it did exactly that, got in the front corner, got stuck and sucked air = flame out!!!

Tygon much better, the BVM stuff kinks back on itself too easily

The BVM KingCat/ F-100 tank instructions specify that the BVM clunk line will expand 3/4" when subjected to kerosene.
After exposure to kerosene, the BVM clunk line becomes more flexible than Tygon.
