Power Box warning

1 Attachment(s)
HI All, all my jets use Power Box Systems.
For the life of me, I can not figure out, how to assemble the warning Led's.
Am I missing some thing.
I can not get the outer ring, on the assembly, to capture a tight fit, the ring is too small.
From the pic, you can see, where I cut the ring to fit.
What am I doing wrong.

Pete,

You don't need to cut the ring. Slide the LED in to the holder with the pointy end towards the base of the LED like you have in the pictures. There's a grove in the holder which the ridge at the base of the LED can slip in to. Then pull the holder tight so the ridge on the LED sits in the grove and the ring should slip over the top and hold everything snug.

HI Andrew, I tried that 20 times, but can;t get the ring over, even with the led ridge in the groove.

OK, figured it out
Power Box system LED is a self contained unit, made to assemble by itself.
Not to be assembled, fuse in between.
Thanks

Pete

If it is a 'normal' LED mounting clip all you would need to do is assemble the main body through a mounting hole slide the ring on then push led in from the rear and it should lock into place
Thats how all the LED mounting clips have worked that I have fitted but I did not use the ones that came with my power boxes

What sort of output does this LED have that it needs a fuse. ;)

I am sure Pete means airplane's fuselage , and not a electrical fuse.

HI, the LED, has quite a ridge (stepout), will not slide in after ring is installed.

Pete - here are a couple of pictures of one going through the fuselage of my 40% composite Extra (which doesn't have the thinnest skin compared to a jet) and the system works great. There is definitely a grove in the holder and the ring locks it all in place. It's been fit and forget for me.
