Mini Linear actuators?

Interesting site. Wonder if anybody ever used these in a jet?

I am putting 4 100 mm servos into a P2V-Neptune. For those unfamiliar, it was a sub hunter and has 2 internal combustion engines inboard, and two turbines outboard. I am putting in 2 ASP 91s and 2 JetCat P20s. The flaps are rather unique and partly my design - aluminum rails and slots operating with a 12" radius curve. They're just like the full size aircraft's Fowler flaps and the Firgelli servos work just fine. I only have part of the wing built, but when the thing is more complete and working I'll post build pics on the short kit suppliers website (http://www.techlazer.com).

Man thats sounds like a real project! For flaps they must be ideal since they dont require much power to hold position. I was thinking in terms of door actuation for the small version.

Many years ago this was the first type of servo, we had several crashes because the servo when jammed was jammed in both directions.

I have one to actuate the sliding canopy on my scratch-built Panther. Its the 4" 100:1 geared unit and its perfect for that application.

I have used some and really like the way they work. I have a video somewhere.

im planning on using the on my F-14 to prevent having 5 servos per wing :D
