Looking to put together my first (and likely second) turbine a/c this summer and am looking for good install examples. Please post photos, and if you used any unique products to allow for a clean installation and ease of access. Include both power train plumbing/wiring and RX/battery install info.

I know there were a few threads in the past that covered installation pics, just can't locate them this morning. Feel free to post links to those. Also, 9 out of 10 build/assembly threads tend to have some good stuff in, and I'll continue to scour the site for those....

Thanks in advance for any input you can offer. I'll be in the 100-120 class of turbine, 20-28lb airframes if that helps serve as a guide to the extent of equipment needed.

Btw, I recognize that the best idea or neatest install picture surfaces the day after you've completed your own.

Any good examples? ...everyone must be out flying this weekend. [8D]

I think you aren't getting any responses, is because every install is specific to the model. Someone may post up pictures of an install that would be physically impossible on the model you are building.

I can understand that Tony but isn't there a bullet point list of best practice for turbine installs out there? There are somethings that aren't always obvious to your first time turbine user like me. For example, fuel tank should be as close to the CG as possible or the fuel filter should be mounted vertically or all fuel line connections should be double wrapped in safety wire. I'm guessing maybe there's a book out there that covers this but I've not seen it.

Having built several jets I seem to find that as you start the install things have a natural place. I also feel that neat installs can be a pain. If somthing goes rong and needs to be worked on a neat install gives problems as it tends to mean that pipes and wires are very short and gives littel chance to move things about.

Offten an install looks neat above the plate but the spiders web is still below the plate. Who cares where it is

Thanks guys, the question was left very 'open' intentionally.
I didn't want to just list the two airframes and turbines I'm going with as it may exclude seeing some good ideas from other airframes and turbines. Thanks for any ideas.
Both models will have 1 main tank, 2 saddle tanks, and a UAT, in that regards plumbing tips, lines/vents/drains/fill ports, etc would be helpful. ECU/pump mounting and plumbing ideas. Rx/power dist system locating and wiring, etc etc.....

I know guys put a lot of planning and time into this endeavor and hopefully are interested in sharing the results of their efforts...especially what has worked and what they would do differently if they did it again now that they have it in service.

Checkout this product from Dreamworks RC. Laminate it to the component tray in the plane

Tidy strips from Dreamworks is also a great product.

Since no one install is set in stone, here are a few of the install on my F-4. Don't know how clean it really is, but I have had a few compliments on the install. Just remember to keep a good spacing between the electronic componets, IE; receiver, ecu, pump, etc; .
