Lado E-Door Rams. How to attach?
So I am sure I am just being absolutely braindead today, but I just received my 30mm Electronic Door rams from Lado today and I can't figure out exactly how I'm supposed to attach the rams rod to a ball link so I can attach it to the door itself. Has anyone used these before and can you please either post a picture of what you used? Or describe what I need to pick up? Usually the air rams I buy come with the loop/eye on the end. I'm surprised that there are absolutely no manuals or instructions whatsoever including how to use the sequencer.
Either that or I really am braindead today... These are the rams I am using. Notice there is nothing on the end of the rod itself? http://www.lado-tech.net/en/e-doors/...door-30mm.html |

Is the piston threaded at the end?
Post some photos please Alan |
RE: Lado E-Door Rams. How to attach?
The alluminium rod of the actuator is internally threaded M3.
I just screwed in a threaded rod extension and used a clip. See here [link]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bz8sRI47GiM[/link]. Mauri |

I believe there is a video on their website explaining the sequencer operation.

Yes the shaft coming out of the lado has 3m or 4m depeneon the size need and them you would just screw in the rod with nut to lock it like you do with metal control horn clevis.

Oh lordy I don't know how I could have missed that. For some reason I thought the ram-rod itself would rotate upon operation (it doesnt). So I guess my thought was it must need some kind of special adaptor. It's clear as mud now. Thanks guys. :)

Funnily enough I ordered some last week and received them today! Outstanding, France to Australia. But the first set I ordered must have taken over a month, so I guess if we average them out thus far, 2 weeks ....

I finally got a Fedex tracking number from Lado over the weekend. I had them ordered since April......THey didn't ship until May 21, expected delivery date May 30. What took so long to ship? The order said they had them in stock. I hate waiting when every thing else is ready...............ARGH...............

RE: Lado E-Door Rams. How to attach?
I ordered mine from Altcare RC. Had them in about 5 days total. They are MUCH heavier than I expected and a fair bit larger as well.

RE: Lado E-Door Rams. How to attach?
Yeah, certainly are large, originally was going in my JL Hawk, but to large and I couldnt be bothered. Now they are fitted in my JL F 15, very east to use, but very powerfull. Make sure all your attachments for the linkages are strong, if not I think they would tear right off. Easy to set up tho. And ya doors are tight, they wont suck out under aerodynamic force.
I like em. Matt |
